Who you are
- You have a background in startups and are driven to solve customer problems by quickly shipping high quality code to the platform
- You are passionate about taking full ownership of projects in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities on your own while communicating effectively with the team about progress and estimations
- You are adept at transforming product designs into functional and aesthetically pleasing user interfaces, and have a passion for delighting customers with a beautiful product
- You are committed to delivering code that balances beauty and functionality, focusing on simplicity and user needs over complexity
- You are keen to contribute to the iterative development process, responsive to feedback, and dedicated to continual improvement
- To be successful at trumpet, you will need to have extensive experience in the following areas
- React, Next.js, and TypeScript (5+ years) including familiarity with react-query
- MongoDB (5+ years), with experience implementing high performance databases
- Working within AWS is like second nature to you
- You have worked with Redis and cloud based queue systems
- Strong background in architecture and system design before diving into code
- You have worked with product designers and are capable of converting designs from tools like Figma into high-quality React components
- You have experience collaborating closely with product managers to break down project requirements into actionable, iterative steps
- Security is massively important to you and you take care to implement best practices
- You believe in iterative development, release, get feedback, and improvement to take a project from initial requirements to release
- You have mentored junior engineers and contributed to improving your team’s processes
- You deeply understand the business goals and objectives and challenge project requirements to ensure they meet them
- Testing is at the heart of your development philosophy, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable software
- You are excited by the prospect of joining a very young company to design and build software that will stand for years to come
Desirable
- You are analytical and like to find interesting trends in data
- You have an interest in LLMs and explored projects utilizing OpenAI API’s or similar
- Experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn). Ability to design and implement ML models
- You have worked with enterprise level customers
