Who you are
- At least 3 years of experience in field engineering, as a Senior Support Engineer (tier 3-4), Technical Account Manager, or Pre-Sales Engineer (required)
- Experience working with Enterprise customers (required)
- Training delivery experience (required)
- Strong application and/ or endpoint security background
- Experience with host base (endpoint agent) security solutions is preferred
- Multi OS support experience: Windows, Mac & Linux (mobile platforms - an advantage)
- Postgres experience or any other DB (queries and basic programming) - an advantage
- Previous scripting experience. At minimum a working knowledge of Python,Powershell, and Unix shell scripts
- Working knowledge of Windows Sysinternals is strongly preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent customer oriented individual
- Professional and articulate with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Fast learner, team player, problem solver, ability to work in fluctuating workload environment and with a globally dispersed, cross-cultural team
- Position can include travel of up to 20%
What the job involves
- As a TAM you will directly work with SentinelOne enterprise customers to drive adoption and continued value of our products and services and develop new business opportunities
- You will create and maintain long-term relationships, manage complex implementation and onboarding projects, consulting assignments and technical escalations
- You will also work closely with our Development, Product, Security, Senior Management and Support teams
- You will become a technical authority, while constantly improving best practices for SentinelOne solutions and services
- Own overall relationship with assigned large-scale clients while creating a platform for continuing value growth and loyalty
- Lead complex implementation and onboarding projects for S1 products and services
- Deliver professional and technical account management services following best practices and established procedures through proactive communication, strategic advisory, technical project management, service reviews, escalation management, training and more
- Work independently to evaluate customer environments and architectures to deliver the appropriate design and integration solutions while maintaining a high satisfaction rate
- This includes, but is not limited to, evaluating customers' business needs, infrastructure, security and compliance requirements
- Work closely with Product, Engineering, Support teams, as well as Senior Management and Sales to advocate for customer needs, resolve technical and business issues, define feature requests, identify growth opportunities, and collect customer feedback
- Maintain in-depth understanding of SentinelOne's technology, products, and services
- Contribute to our knowledge base by creating best practices guides and video tutorials
Our take
Cybercriminals are now leveraging the power of automation to make the current threat landscape too advanced for a lot of legacy antivirus software. SentinelOne is a cybersecurity company that matches this automation with machine learning-focused software designed to help businesses defend against online attacks.
The company expanded the scope of its business from the endpoint security market to three markets valued at a combined $30 billion, including the corporate endpoint security and IT operations management markets. This gives SentinelOne a bigger potential customer base, although it also puts them in direct competition with more focused cybersecurity companies, in addition to its biggest competitor, CrowdStrike.
When the company went public in 2021, it made financial headlines as the highest-valued cybersecurity IPO ever, which gave SentinelOne a market capitalisation of $10 billion. However, it's since fallen to around $ 4 billion. It has subsequently launched S Ventures, a $100M fund, through which SentinelOne invests in cybersecurity startups and has expanded its partnership with major tax firm KPMG to accelerate cyber investigations and responses to threats.
