Role
Who you are
- 7+ Years of Experience: Demonstrated expertise in partner management and business development, with a proven track record of driving successful partnerships
- Industry Experience: Familiarity with the benefits provider, insurance, virtual healthcare, or SaaS sectors, with a deep understanding of these markets
- C-Suite Sales Experience: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with C-suite executives, influencing decision-making and driving business outcomes
- Partnerships in Complex Industries: Proven experience in creating or managing partnerships within healthcare, complex technology industries, or similar sectors
- Contract Negotiation Success: A history of successfully negotiating complex contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms that support long-term business goals
- Adaptability in Fast-Paced Environments: Comfortable thriving in a rapidly evolving, dynamic organization, with the ability to pivot and execute under pressure
- Hands-On Leadership: A hands-on leader who is not afraid to roll up your sleeves and actively engage with the team on key pursuits and projects, ensuring alignment and execution
What the job involves
- Reporting to Jennifer Buckley, SVP, Commercial, your role will be to cultivate and elevate Dialogue’s most strategic partnerships, transforming them into mutually beneficial relationships that drive substantial growth and innovation
- By leveraging your expertise, you will spearhead initiatives that position Dialogue as the premier partner of choice, ensuring that each collaboration reaches its fullest potential
- Your leadership will be instrumental in aligning cross-functional teams, optimizing commercial operations, and creating a seamless partner experience that fosters long-term success and aligns with our broader organizational goals
- Driving Business Growth: Spearheading Dialogue’s expansion by developing and managing partnerships with key Carrier Partners, Advisors, and Brokers
- Innovating Partnerships: Strategizing and executing new partnership channels while maintaining and strengthening existing collaborations to ensure sustained growth
- Elevating Key Relationships: Cultivating and deepening relationships with critical stakeholders to elevate Dialogue’s position as the premier partner of choice
- Creating and Executing Strategic Plans: Leading the development and execution of a comprehensive business strategy aimed at expanding and nurturing strategic relationships across Canada
- Negotiating High-Value Deals: Leading complex contract negotiations with C-suite executives to secure long-term, high-impact partnerships
- Leading a High-Performing Team: Building, mentoring, and managing a dynamic team of partnership professionals, driving excellence, and fostering a collaborative culture
Our take
Employers that offer their workforces healthcare benefits generally report higher engagement, productivity, and happiness levels in the workplace, but it isn't easy to do. Healthcare providers have lengthy waiting lists and focus heavily on physical health, whereas employees often experience problems perceived as less significant such as stress and mental wellness, prescription management, and financial obstacles.
Dialogue provides a telemedicine platform for employee benefits, partnering with employers to provide access to virtual healthcare solutions. The platform covers physical and mental health, prescriptions, access to health resources, work and career-related challenges, in addition to legal and financial support. This ultimately aims to humanize and broaden a company's healthcare perks outside of those of standard providers.
Dialogue has made a smart move by recognizing the significance of mental health and financial obstacles, tackling them within a unified platform. In addition to providing care for clients, the platform also benefits medical professionals greatly by matching them with relevant patients through the use of personal data. Dialogue is set to be acquired by fellow Canadian health platform Sun Life by the end of 2023.
