Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Marketing, or a related field
- Certifications in SEO or digital marketing are a plus (e.g. Google Search Engine Optimization Certification)
- Proven experience in technical SEO, with a focus on driving organic traffic and improving website performance
- Deep understanding of search engine algorithms and ranking factors
- Experience conducting technical SEO audits and identifying optimization opportunities
- Proficiency in using SEO tools and platforms (e.g. Google Search Console, Google Analytics, SEMrush)
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
- Experience working with content management systems (CMS) and website development platforms
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical data
- Knowledge of web server configuration and optimization and understanding of website architecture and sitemaps
- Experience with XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and redirects
- Familiarity with server-side programming languages (e.g. PHP, Python)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- A passion for learning and staying up to date on SEO trends
What the job involves
- Storyblok is seeking a talented Technical SEO Manager to drive significant organic growth and improve website performance
- As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for implementing and optimizing technical SEO strategies to enhance website visibility and drive traffic
- Your expertise in the latest SEO techniques will be instrumental in accelerating our overall web traffic and supporting our product-led growth initiatives
- Technical SEO Strategy: Conduct a comprehensive technical SEO audit to identify website optimization opportunities
- Develop and implement a technical SEO strategy aligned with overall business objectives
- Stay up-to-date on the latest SEO trends and best practices
- On-Page Optimization: Collaborate with our web development team to optimize website architecture for search engines and user experience
- Improve page loading speed through technical optimizations. Ensure proper implementation of structured data and schema markup
- Off-Page Optimization: Build and manage high-quality backlink profiles. Conduct link audits and disavow harmful links. Monitor and analyze competitor backlink strategies
- Technical SEO Tools: Utilize SEO tools to track website performance, identify keyword opportunities, and analyze competitor data
- Stay proficient in using industry-standard SEO tools
- Technical SEO Reporting: Track and report on key SEO metrics, including organic traffic, rankings, and conversions
- Analyze data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Collaboration: Collaborate closely with the content team to ensure content is optimized for SEO
- Work with our developers to implement technical SEO recommendations
- Partner with marketing teams to align SEO efforts with overall marketing strategies
- Share Best Practice: Work with our Content and Product Marketing teams to document tips-and-tricks and the benefits of SEO performance optimization within a Storyblok environment that will result in high performing content for our prospects
Our take
A headless content management system (CMS) consists of a back-end that stores the content and a decoupled front-end display. This lets the content be streamed to any platform including apps, wearable devices or digital displays via an API. Compared to the other headless CMS solutions, Storyblok’s CMS provides highly customisable content blocks and visual editing tools. This gives developers the flexibility to build fast and reliable digital platforms. It is the first headless CMS to integrate such features into a modern headless architecture.
The company counts Pizza Hut, Adidas, UPC, Greggs and Decathlon amongst clients, alongside many thousands of solo developers that use their CMS. These are powering more than 74,000 projects across 130 countries.
Storyblok intends to use its new funding to expand its presence in the USA after its previous round accelerated expansion in key European markets including Germany and Ireland.
