Senior Backend Engineer, Outside

• You have 7+ years experience in backend software development
• You are proficient with AI agent coding; Claude Code
• You are proficient with Python and Java; experience with Scala is a plus
• You have strong experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native architectures
• You are comfortable working with RDS/MySQL and Django
• You have experience with Kafka or similar messaging/event-driven systems
• You are a strong communicator in a fully remote environment
• You can clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• You are able to work independently in situations of ambiguity
• You have experience shipping maintainable and testable code bases
• You can build and maintain APIs that power mobile clients
• You have contributed to major architectural changes on products used by millions of users
