Who you are
- Minimum of a post-secondary degree
- 2-3 years of experience in sales, business development, and customer management
- Experience in relevant industries such as real estate development, transportation, or energy
- Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementing skills
- Strong presentation and verbal communication skills
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Able to work comfortably in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of and passion for clean energy and mobility sectors
- Experience with CRM (Salesforce)
What the job involves
- SWTCH is looking for a Sales Development Representative to help us scale and grow our business across Canada
- Working closely with our Business Development team, you’ll help identify, develop, and support meaningful direct sales and channel partnerships for SWTCH. The SWTCH team is lean, motivated, and driven by our mission to realize a clean energy future
- Leads outbound initiatives
- Maintain relationships with current clients and identify new prospects
- Research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads, and follow through to a successful agreement
- Understand the target markets, including industry, public policy, regional programs, companies, projects, and which market strategies can be used to attract clients
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure that milestones are achieved
- Possess a strong understanding of our products, our competition in the industry, and positioning
- Follow the latest industry developments and stay up to date on the competitive landscape
- Maintain customer activity in the CRM platform
- Exceed performance metrics

The costs of future-proofing buildings in preparation for clean energy can often mount up to unsavoury heights, acting as a deterrent for commercial and multi-family building owners who are considering upgrading their buildings to meet net-zero targets. SWTCH Energy is building a solution to make these upgrades more cost-effective and energy-efficient.
Though there is a wealth of companies operating within the EV and electrical charging hardware market, SWTCH stands out thanks to its use of existing electrical infrastructure to upgrade buildings and charging ports. Working with both building managers and EV drivers, the company’s SWTCH Control intelligent load management system is a monitor for multi-residential buildings that controls the energy capacity of a building, ensuring any charging needs never exceed the limit.
SWTCH’s work with building managers to improve infrastructure has garnered the company numerous clients across North America. In 2023, it partnered with software companies Sitetracker and AutoGrid to deploy its technology on the continent. 2025's funding round is being used to accelerate production and AI projects, as well as to scale its charger deployments across North America.
