DevOps Engineer, Tucows

• 5+ years of experience in public cloud environments (AWS preferred)
• Strong expertise in AWS services and infrastructure implementation
• Hands-on experience with migrations and application deployment automation
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Bash), and infrastructure automation
• Experience with GitOps workflows and practices
• Practical knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies (EKS, ECS)
• Solid understanding of AWS security, networking implementation, and cloud governance
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation Excellent communication and collaboration skills in technical implementation settings
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving, and the ability to debug complex-cross systems problems, and document root causes including remediation and detection
• Demonstrated collaborative approach to work, enjoy being part of a team and have excellent interpersonal and listening skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Build, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable, and resilient AWS infrastructure using EKS, RDS, EC2 and more
• Execute migration and modernization initiatives, implementing tooling and processes to transform legacy workloads to cloud-native operations
• Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines, implement automation scripts, and evangelize DevOps best practices across teams
• Implement containerized application environments and manage orchestration using EKS and ECS
• Apply and automate cloud security best practices across infrastructure implementations, including IAM, VPCs, security groups, and compliance standards
• Implement and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation
• Act as a technical expert to team members, providing hands-on implementation guidance and troubleshooting throughout project lifecycles
• Work within agile teams to deliver infrastructure and automation outcomes iteratively and incrementally
