- 4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably within digital advertising, affiliate marketing, e-commerce, or financial analytics
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a focus on financial modeling, ad performance, campaign optimization, and revenue impact
- Experience working with large datasets and using data visualization tools such as Omni, Looker, or similar BI tools
- Strong proficiency in SQL is a must; experience with BigQuery or other cloud-based data warehouses preferred
- Experience designing, running, and interpreting experiments using Statsig to drive data-informed decision making
- Understanding of financial metrics such as revenue forecasting, cost-per-acquisition (CPA), return on ad spend (ROAS), and lifetime value (LTV)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and technical insights into actionable recommendations for business stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality financial analysis and reporting
What the job involves
- Analyze and interpret data trends across Button’s platform, across which billions of dollars in commerce and advertising transactions flow, with a focus on product performance, customer behavior, and operational efficiency
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, analysis, and reporting tasks
- Deliver actionable insights that inform product strategy, improve customer experiences, and drive platform growth across affiliate, programmatic, and retail media channels
- Build and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks to keep internal teams and leadership aligned on key performance metrics
- Evaluate and refine analytical methodologies to ensure data accuracy, enable better forecasting, and support experimentation
- Automate data workflows, reporting pipelines, and dashboards to scale analytics capabilities
- Partner closely with product, engineering, and marketing teams to translate data insights into user and business impact

Shopping habits are increasingly moving towards mobile. However, the process of buying on mobile remains riddled with problems and poor user interfaces that slow down purchase time and therefore reduce revenue for companies that rely on these channels.
Button is trying to make mobile eCommerce easier for customers and businesses. They provide seamless integrations of links or "buttons" within other third party partner's apps, allowing mobile customers to buy when their interest is highest. This provides brands with an alternative to pushing users to their eCommerce websites through channels such as Facebook or Google (as customers can make purchases directly in other apps).
The company has now driven $6 billion in eCommerce, delivering an average 3x revenue increase in app journeys vs mobile web - both of which showcase the impact it has made in the market. Button continues to expand its network and enhance the platform towards making mobile eCommerce work better for brands.
