Who you are

Experience in frontend development with a strong emphasis on UI/UX design
Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks such as React, Vue.js, or Angular
Proven experience building interactive, data-heavy web applications with a focus on data visualization and user interaction
Strong skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Three.js) and building interactive, real-time visual interfaces
Demonstrated ability to design and deliver intuitive, user-friendly interfaces with a deep understanding of UI/UX principles
Familiarity with responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and using design tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD
Hands-on, technically strong leader
Experience in a start up/scaleup environment
Experience in “zero to one” new product development (at any size of company)
Pragmatic, product engineering mindset with a focus on building delightful products that customers love

Desirable

Experience with WebAssembly (Wasm) for high-performance, browser-based data processing tasks
Experience building ML-powered products and/or with data engineering
Experience building products/features using LLMs
Proven ability to manage multiple high-performance engineering teams

What the job involves

As our founding engineering leader, you will help build the first version of a next-gen threat investigation platform in a well-financed startup that is ready to launch
Design and implement the frontend architecture for a high-performance, data-centric web application with interactive link relationship visualizations
Lead the UI/UX design process, creating an intuitive and visually appealing user interface that supports complex data interactions
Collaborate with the backend engineer to integrate frontend functionality with backend services, ensuring smooth data flow and performance
Ensure the frontend is highly responsive, scalable, and capable of handling large-scale, real-time datasets efficiently
Take ownership of the overall user experience, conducting user research and iterating on designs based on feedback
Establish best practices in frontend development, performance optimization, and user-centered design
Act as the technical leader to define the tech vision, stack, and architecture
Hire the initial engineering team alongside the CTO
Work hands-on with the founding team to bring the initial product to market
Help establish the culture and practices for a high-performance engineering team

Miru is an AI-powered platform that provides security teams with super-charging threat-hunting and investigation capabilities. It enables security and threat research teams to conduct complex investigations within a single, centralized platform, breaking down data and team silos.
