Role
Who you are
- Substantial experience of Test Management at a senior level, ability to lead teams and work independently
- Experience of establishing test practices within Agile delivery environments
- Has successfully embedded test driven and test led approaches
- Understands the Test Pyramid and has implemented strategies to avoid Testing Ice Cream Cone
- Significant experience in test automation, continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Experience with test management tools Automation testing, cypress, typescript, API testing, postman, manual testing
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Desirable
- Extensive knowledge of, or experience in, a range of types of non-functional testing
- Experience in coaching and mentoring your colleagues and peers
What the job involves
- As a QA Lead, you will be a champion of testing, coordinating with product experts and developers in an Agile environment. As a result, you will need to be able to:
- Develop comprehensive test strategies that encompass various testing phases, including unit, integration, system, and acceptance testing
- Spearhead the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks and scripts, ensuring efficient and effective test execution
- Ensure the highest quality of software by implementing rigorous QA processes, including test planning, execution, defect tracking, and management
- Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers and testers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement in testing practices
- Working closely with the development teams to ingrain Quality engineering principles to optimise cycle time
- Take a lead on each fortnightly release
