Who you are
- 2+ years in FP&A, consulting, corporate finance, investment banking, or strategic finance
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and/or relevant experience
- Strong understanding of financial statement analysis and accounting principles
- Experience with financial modeling in a corporate finance environment
- Excel expert – experience with B.I. tools (Looker) and Workday Adaptive is a plus
- Strong data analytical ability
- Work well in a fast-paced environment – our product is growing exponentially and we need to be able to keep up with it
- Communicate effectively and concisely with other members of the finance team and various stakeholders
- Knowledge and curiosity about financial technology
What the job involves
- You will support Current’s growth through corporate finance, contributing to corporate reporting, planning and forecasting, customizing state of the art planning tools, designing templated dashboards, and monitoring KPIs to drive business performance
- You’ll communicate your findings to senior leadership and business executives to support the company’s financial health and growth
- You will push the bounds of our data richness and stability by partnering with our data team and accounting team to validate datasets from disparate structured and unstructured sources
- This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statement analysis, combined with financial modeling skills and an understanding of the key growth drivers of the business

- Prepare and maintain monthly and quarterly financial reports, operational metrics, related dashboards, and risk reporting
- Enhance and maintain KPI reporting to track company performance and analyze drivers of revenue, cost structure, and expenses
- Collaborate with various members of the finance team to analyze financial statements, historical and projected trends, operational and financial metrics, KPIs, forecasts, and other relevant factors
- Support the development of an effective and highly automated FP&A infrastructure system for planning, financial modelling, data management, data analytics, and reporting
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, and communicate with key stakeholders through presentations and reporting
- Collaborate with the Accounting team to ensure financial reporting complies with accounting standards and regulations

Younger customers are expected in the coming years to pivot from legacy institutions to the higher functionality and lower costs of consumer-first neobanks like Current. By netting an average customer age of 27, Current is establishing itself as a pack leader among rival but less well-funded neobanks like Step or Till.
It is also successfully competing with legacy institutions by exploiting the relatively adaptive nature of neobanking: Current has previously offered customers advanced access to stimulus checks, and is seeking to expand into crypto. The company continues to raise funding, the latest of which will help fuel growth and an accelerated path to profitability.
