Who you are
- Great understanding of data architecture & data engineering
- Understanding of software development processes, such as Agile or Scrum
- Familiar with project management tools, such as JIRA
- Experience leading and managing engineering teams, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management
- Attention to detail, delegation, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication in English and experience working in an international environment, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
What the job involves
- We're looking for an Engineering Manager to join our Data apps & AI team
- This team will work on our platform for storing and analyzing our customer data
- The goal is to provide automated, AI/ML-driven insights built on our customers' data that drive optimization and growth
- Build new products for our customers that leverage AI/ML
- Lead a strong team of highly skilled and hard-working software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists who strive to share insights and suggestions
- Design and build a scalable architecture for storing our customers' data
- Provide technical guidance to the team on data architecture and data engineering
- Work with product and other development teams to deliver features and improvements
- Providing guidance and mentorship to team members, assisting with problem-solving, code reviews, and architectural decisions
- Working with the team on technical discovery and planning
- Participating in hands-on development and technical decisions
- Working with the product manager and other stakeholders on building backlog, setting priorities, resolving blockers, resource allocation
- Continuously evaluating and improving engineering processes and practices to increase efficiency, quality, and team productivity
- Coordinating cross-team work and collaboration
- Having 1-on-1s with team members and coaching them

Despite competition from companies such as Fivetran and Adverity, the company boasts an impressive client list, including Nestlé, Warner Brothers, L’Oréal, owing to its variety of products, such as Supermetrics for Google Sheets, Excel, and BigQuery.
Supermetrics success is product-led and due to the increase in demand for its offerings, the company witnessed a growth of 40% YoY in 2022. Going forward, the company is focused on continuing its strong growth path and hopes to at least double its turnover. It's also emphasising its presence in the US market as important and expects to grow fast.
