Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as a Product Owner
- Prior experience working with remote teams
- Prior experience of working across multiple product backlogs and needs
- Strong understanding of Agile and/or other preferred methodologies
- Experience ensuring delivery to deadlines whilst managing team relationships appropriately
- Excellent at analyzing and translating business needs into effective requirements
- Strong collaboration with stakeholders
- Strong communication skills
Desirable
- Experience working with web and mobile applications
- Technical background
- Prior experience in the EdTech or Disability sector
What the job involves
- Working closely with a small but highly motivated team within product, development and QA to deliver great work for our users
- Creating, maintaining and prioritising the product backlogs, ensuring they reflect business priorities and are aligned with product strategy
- Collaborating with product and other cross-functional teams, to establish and document clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to support development and ensure alignment across teams
- Leading agile development practices, including coordinating sprints and demos, and working with our team to refine and improve development processes
- Overseeing development stages of work, setting timescales for delivery, and being accountable for communication and progress
- Evaluating development work and determine if the end product is acceptable

Our take
Wellness and organisation apps are a dime a dozen, but ones focused specifically on the well-being and practicalities of living with a learning difficulty are far fewer. Booost Education melds mental health support, diary and workload management, and routine building features into one platform.
With a team of disability needs assessors and UX designers behind the app, Booost is backed by founders with a solid understanding of what neurodiverse students need to help them succeed in the study. The product is currently live and available, both for UK students receiving the Disabled Students Allowance grant and for individuals, schools, colleges and universities.
Whilst apps such as Asana and Epic Win dominate the American market, there appears to be space for Booost in the UK software industry. That being said, Booost should partner with universities and DSA governing bodies to make sure it reaches as much of its target audience as possible, who must be convinced to use it regularly for it to make the biggest difference.
