- User Empathy: A genuine passion for understanding users and advocating for their needs
- Clear Communication: Ability to articulate design ideas and rationale effectively, both verbally and visually

- Product Thinking: Understanding of how design decisions impact business goals and user outcomes
- Iteration & Feedback: Comfortable working in an iterative design process, incorporating feedback and data to refine designs
- Technical Awareness: Basic understanding of front-end technologies and their impact on design implementation
- Experience: 3+ years in a product design role
- Design Portfolio: Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design process, creative problem-solving, and visual and interaction design skills (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite)
- User Research Skills: Experience participating in or conducting user research activities
- Prototyping Skills: Proficiency in creating prototypes to communicate and test design concepts
- Communication Skills: Fluent in English with good communication skills; German is a plus
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team
- Passion for Sustainability: A genuine interest in climate tech and making a positive impact
What the job involves
- You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our platform, influencing design strategy, and driving innovative solutions that make a tangible impact on climate change
- Craft intuitive, user-centric, and innovative design solutions for our Climate ERP platform, with a strong emphasis on leveraging AI to create intelligent and impactful experiences
- Collaborate closely with product managers and engineers to translate user needs and business goals into engaging and effective user experiences that drive sustainable impact
- User Research: Develop a deep understanding of our users – their workflows, pain points, and needs – through user research, interviews, and data analysis
- Visual Design: Contribute to the visual design language, ensuring a consistent and engaging user interface that aligns with our brand and design system
- Wireframing & Prototyping: Using AI tools, create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes (low to high fidelity) to explore and validate design solutions
- AI-Enhanced Design Process & Tooling: Drive the integration of AI into our design processes and contribute to creating design tools to empower other teams to leverage AI effectively and consistently in their design-related work
- AI Opportunity Identification: Proactively identify opportunities for AI enhanced features that help our users to solve complex problems and driving business value
- Designing for Intelligent Experiences: Design intuitive and effective user interfaces for AI-powered features, ensuring transparency, explainability, and user control
- Ethical & Environmental Considerations: Actively consider and advocate for the ethical implications, fairness, and environmental impact of AI in your design solutions
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, engineers, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure alignment on design priorities and feasibility
- Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate design concepts, rationale, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Feedback Integration: Solicit and thoughtfully incorporate feedback from users, stakeholders, and the design team into design iterations
- User Testing: Plan, conduct, and analyze user testing sessions to gather valuable insights and validate design decisions

Our take
Conflicts in the 2020s and climate change are challenging energy companies, leading to an unprecedented demand for more commitment to renewable raw materials from all stakeholders. For companies, this means it is now no longer a luxury to save CO2 emissions where possible.
Cozero is a software company that creates products to fit that need. The startup was founded to enable companies to effectively decarbonise and it differentiates itself from competitors by framing these CO2 savings in the language of business - each measure details CO2 saved per Euro invested.
With over 70 enterprise customers, the company's next steps will involve accelerating its international expansion and advance its Climate ERP solution. Having already helped cut Vodafone's media carbon footprint by a third, the company is well set for even greater success as it continues to grow.
