- You’ve built operational processes before , onboarding, policies, tooling, compliance, and you know how to make things run without constant manual effort, using automation and real tools, not just concepts
- You have strong judgment about when to add process and when to stay out of the way, and you’re comfortable with a role that will evolve organically as Granola grows

What the job involves
- We're looking for an Operations Generalist to join our ops team
- You'll work across people operations, compliance, finance ops, and the cross-functional projects that keep a scaling company running
- This isn't a pure people ops role
- It's for someone who genuinely loves people ops work and wants to grow into it, but is equally energised by variety and happy to roll up their sleeves across whatever the company needs right now
- People ops is where this role is heading
- But on day one, you'll be doing a bit of everything, and we need someone who's genuinely excited about that
- Work across people operations day to day, contracts, onboarding, benefits, compliance, employee check-ins — and grow into building people programs over time: feedback loops, manager support, performance processes
- Pick up and drive operational projects as they arise: compliance certifications (ISO, HIPAA, SOC 2), data mapping, procurement, travel and expense policies
- Automate and improve the operational backbone, better integrations, fewer manual steps, fewer things falling through the cracks
- Coordinate across teams on cross-functional problems and step in wherever the ops team needs support as Granola grows

Granola is a London-based startup that treats company meetings as a source of organisational knowledge. Rather than introducing a note-taking AI to meetings, Granola integrates with audio capture tools to seamlessly record online and in-person conversations. In doing so, it removes the need for AI agent integration, maintains a frictionless set-up and sheds platform dependency and compatibility issues.
Since launching its Mac app in 2024, Granola has seen explosive growth, with weekly growth rates above 10%R and expanding across Mac, iOS, and soon Windows. It has quickly become a must-have tool for people who want beautifully crafted, intelligent software that lightens workloads and amplifies impact.
And the team behind it is an experienced one (the CEO's previous startup was acquired by Google) and has raised to Series C in venture capital from world-class investors, including the co-founder of Instagram and senior leaders from Google and Facebook. Now at a $1.5 billion valuation, it counts the likes of Mistral AI, Cursor and Gusto as clients. Well on the way to achieving its objective of becoming a queryable context layer for meetings, Granola provides a seamless alternative to third-party recording bots and looks set to scale further.
