Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will be able to support the hyper growth of our business and will therefore need to be comfortable and experienced moving at an incredibly fast pace
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Demonstrated experience supporting equity and stock-based compensation accounting
- Demonstrated experience supporting intercompany transactions and consolidations
- Highly detail oriented with strong experience in Excel, ERP systems, and US GAAP
- CPA (active or inactive) and/or MBA preferred
- Prior experience in companies that are tech or advanced manufacturing preferred
- Healthy mix of technical accounting and operational accounting preferred
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a high growth organization
- Able to get hands dirty to drive organizational change while also maintaining an ability to manage up against strategic priorities/reporting
- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
What the job involves
- We are looking for an exceptional Senior Accountant to help Anduril prepare for a future potential IPO, support an ERP implementation, integrate acquired businesses, and drive operational excellence
- Oversee and manage the entire accrual process to ensure accurate and timely recording of all accruals
- Conduct thorough reviews of open purchase orders and follow-up to ensure timely closure and accurate expense recognition
- Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information for accruals and to improve interdepartmental communication related to expense tracking
- Reconcile accrued accounts regularly to identify discrepancies and make necessary adjustments
- Develop and implement robust internal controls and procedures related to the accrual accounting process
- Prepare footnotes, disclosures, and supporting schedules to support financial reporting
- Prepare financial reconciliations timely and be able to research and resolve variances as needed
- Help implement new systems or improve efficiencies with current systems to support continued company and team growth
- Contribute to the control environment by establishing, improving, and maintaining operational processes

Our take
Anduril makes hardware and software for defense agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Its hardware products include specialist drones with a long flight time and surveillance towers.
This hardware is tied together by proprietary software, the Lattice platform, which uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and mesh networking to integrate real-time data from Anduril hardware and third-party systems into a single, autonomous operating picture. While the hardware observes and detects, the software can make decisions as to the threat level of any anomalies, and so allow for observation and protection of an area or building with minimal manpower.
Anduril closed a Series E funding round in 2022 led by Valor Equity Partners. This funding was used for research and development of its autonomous defense products, such as the Roadrunner, a modular twin-jet powered autonomous vehicle that can take off and land vertically. Variants of the Roadrunner include defensive warhead armed interceptors which are the first drone weapons that can be retrieved after deployment. The company has also expanded to Australia where it is working in tandem with the Australian Defence Force to improve its military technology and infrastructure and is recruiting talent worldwide to support its rapidly growing portfolio of defense projects.
