Who you are
- 5+ years of marketing experience, preferably in fintech, B2B SaaS, or financial services, with demonstrated professional growth across your career
- Strong content creation skills with an ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling messaging
- Experience with digital marketing channels and marketing automation tools
- Data-driven approach to marketing with experience using analytics to measure and improve campaigns
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across departments
- Comfortable with and curious about AI tools
- Exceptional attention to detail with a high-quality bar for written and visual work
- Creative eye for design and content, with experience producing polished assets

What the job involves
- ModernFi is seeking an individual for the role of GTM Strategy & Marketing to establish and lead our marketing function during a critical growth phase
- In this highly visible role, you will develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, lead generation, and sales enablement
- You will own strategy, content creation, digital marketing, and analytics while building the foundation for our marketing operations
- This role offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to shape how ModernFi communicates its value proposition to financial institutions
- At ModernFi, your work will directly fuel our vision and mission to serve as systemically important financial infrastructure that drives the American economy and to empower our partner financial institutions to grow and better serve their communities
- Develop and execute ModernFi's marketing strategy, including positioning, messaging, and channel strategy
- Create compelling content across multiple formats (website copy, blog posts, emails, social media, sales collateral, case studies, etc.)
- Coordinate and execute marketing programs including webinars, executive dinners, industry events, and digital campaigns
- Build and manage our digital presence across website, social media, and email marketing channels
- Design and produce marketing collateral (alongside external agencies and contractors) including presentations, one-pagers, and newsletters that clearly communicate our value proposition
- Collaborate closely with sales to develop materials that support the sales process and accelerate deals
- Establish metrics to measure marketing effectiveness and continuously optimize based on data
- Manage relationships with external agencies and contractors as needed
- Stay current on fintech industry trends and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies
Our take
Rising interest rates and the recent collapse of prominent banks have triggered a mass exodus of deposits from smaller institutions. This "deposit runoff" has left community and regional banks scrambling to retain funds, impacting their growth and stability.
ModernFi offers an end-to-end deposit management platform to address this very issue. Its "deposit network" connects smaller banks with high-value depositors, facilitating deposit sourcing, automated fund sweeping, and enhanced security for depositors. This network acts as a lifeline for smaller banks, helping them attract and retain crucial funding.
2024 investment will fuel the company's expansion in several areas, with the ultimate goal of becoming a one-stop shop for bank CFOs, offering a comprehensive suite of solutions for managing the entire deposit lifecycle. With strong market demand and a clear roadmap for expansion, especially off the back of the Silicon Valley Bank collapse, ModernFi appears well-positioned to navigate the shifting landscape of banking and become a vital resource for community and regional banks in the years to come.
