Role
Who you are
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in a BI Analyst or Data Analyst role, preferably in a SaaS or tech environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Business, or a related field
- Must have experience working in DBT
- Experience working with some Finance data sets and metrics (i.e. Stripe, Orb, ARR, Churn, Unit Economics)
- Proficient in SQL for querying large datasets
- Experience with BI tools (e.g., BitQuery, Hex, Hashbard, Looker, Power BI) for data visualization and reporting
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes
- Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for data manipulation and analysis
- Experience with cloud-based data storage platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, CloudFlare) is a plus
- Familiarity with statistical analysis and data-driven decision-making
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a simple, actionable manner
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a keen attention to detail
What the job involves
- Replit is looking for a detail-oriented Finance BI Engineer to join our growing team
- In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw data into actionable insights that help drive strategic decision-making across the organization
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze data trends, optimize business processes, and support Replit's mission of building a more collaborative development environment
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze large datasets and generate insightful reports for Finance to help inform business strategies
- Data Modeling: Design and build data models that facilitate efficient reporting and dashboard creation
- KPI Development: Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) for Finance and track performance over time
- Dashboard Creation & Maintenance: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using BI tools (e.g., BitQuery, Hex, Hashbard, Looker, Power BI) to provide real-time insights into business performance
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams to identify data needs, establish reporting requirements, and optimize performance metrics
- Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data integrity by identifying discrepancies, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and BI best practices to continuously improve data analysis processes and tools
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Perform ad-hoc analysis and provide support for key business initiatives and decision-making processes
