Who you are
- Solid experience with Java (+3y) and object-oriented programming
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services and infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with MySQL and MongoDB
- Strong motivation to drive impact through product and infrastructure improvements
- Proactive mindset, strong teamwork skills, and ability to learn quickly
- Experience working in agile teams with clear separation between frontend and backend responsibilities
Desirable
- Experience with Python for scripting, automation, or backend services
- Knowledge of tools like Docker and Kubernetes, Helm, or observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
What the job involves
- We are currently seeking a Backend Developer to join our RatedPower team, working either from our Madrid office or remotely

- Join us in driving the energy transition by building intelligent connections across the energy value chain, with a strategic focus on expanding our offerings in Power & Renewables
- Develop new features and services using the Spring Boot framework
- Manage and maintain relational (MySQL) and non-relational (MongoDB) databases, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
- Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Support the administration and maintenance of cloud infrastructure, with guidance from senior engineers
- Integrate and work with messaging systems such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
- Collaborate with product, frontend, and cybersecurity teams to address technical and business challenges
