Who you are
- Must be a current or rising senior (or Master’s student) at the time of the internship and able to start full-time in 2025
- Passion for uncovering inefficiencies and optimizing systems at scale
- Ability to use python to create, analyze, and visualize complex datasets
- Exceptional systems thinking with meticulous attention to detail, outstanding communication, and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to unfamiliar technologies across multiple domains

- Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
Desirable
- Experience with enterprise data management platforms, such as Airtable, Tableau, Databricks, or Foundry
- Experience leveraging agentic tools like Claude Code and other LLMs to quickly iterate on code
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Business/Finance, Stats or Quantitive Sciences or related field
- Proven track record in fast-paced startup environments
What the job involves
- The Department of Platform Efficiency (DOPE) is an elite engineering team reporting directly to Anduril's C-suite
- We strategically instrument and analyze our 20+ business lines and software platform organization to provide data-driven direction to Business Heads and executive leadership
- DOPE is empowered to rapidly identify and solve critical organizational and technical challenges through rapid experimentation
- Our work spans multiple domains including data engineering (Flyte, PySpark, Foundry), build systems, cloud & vehicle infrastructure, developer tooling, and analytics
- On this team, you'll gain comprehensive visibility across all business lines, collaborate regularly with Anduril leadership, and develop expertise across our entire technology stack while delivering high-impact tools, products, and infrastructure solutions
- Conduct deep-dive investigations across the organization to identify efficiency opportunities and eliminate waste
- Collaborate with Software Engineers to produce insightful, polished and impactful DOPE reports which go directly to Anduril’s C-suite, and subsequently the company at large
- Drive the DOPE operational strategy, and partner with the Platform’s Finance and Operations leaders to leverage data to inform our cloud spend, lattice pricing strategies and more
- Lead initiatives to transform the status quo through rapid, data-driven experimentation
- Analyze complex datasets and create compelling visualizations and dashboards for executive leadership and company-wide insights
- Partner with Business Heads to define and track critical KPIs that drive strategic decision-making
Our take
Anduril makes hardware and software for defense agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Its hardware products include specialist drones with a long flight time and surveillance towers.
This hardware is tied together by proprietary software, the Lattice platform, which uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and mesh networking to integrate real-time data from Anduril hardware and third-party systems into a single, autonomous operating picture. While the hardware observes and detects, the software can make decisions as to the threat level of any anomalies, and so allow for observation and protection of an area or building with minimal manpower.
Anduril closed a Series E funding round in 2022 led by Valor Equity Partners. This funding was used for research and development of its autonomous defense products, such as the Roadrunner, a modular twin-jet powered autonomous vehicle that can take off and land vertically. Variants of the Roadrunner include defensive warhead armed interceptors which are the first drone weapons that can be retrieved after deployment. The company has also expanded to Australia where it is working in tandem with the Australian Defence Force to improve its military technology and infrastructure and is recruiting talent worldwide to support its rapidly growing portfolio of defense projects.
