Who you are
- Proven experience delivering technology to government organizations or large commercial institutions
- Proven experience leading a technical team of peers to field hardware and software products to real operating environments at various scales
- Proven experience and aptitude in taking a product from 1 to 100 and beyond
- 4+ years work experience in a technology company or as a part of a technical implementation team focused on developing integrated hardware and software products
- Can travel up to 50% of the year
- Must be able to obtain a Secret Clearance
What the job involves
- The Air Defense team builds robots that find other robots and knock them out of the sky
- At a time when air superiority can no longer be taken for granted, the Air Defense team provides mission critical capabilities to warfighters
- From detection to tracking, identification, deterrence, and defeat, our family of networked sensors and effectors enables our customers to rapidly close the kill chain against a broad range of UAS threats
- Working across product, engineering, business development, logistics, operations, and mission success, the Air Defense team develops, tests, deploys, and sustains the Anduril Air Defense Family of Systems in challenging operational environments worldwide
- The Mission Operations team is responsible for managing the delivery, sustainment, and growth of the solutions we provide to our customer partners
- Working across product, engineering, and logistics teams, our Mission Operations Capability Leads own the scaling and sustainment of Air Defense products within Anduril’s portfolio
- We are looking for a Capability Lead to join our Air Defense team to be the programmatic leader responsible for the delivery and sustainment of our existing dismounted counter-UAS solutions
- This Capability Lead will also work with Anduril engineers and customers to develop additional capabilities that meet this mission need for highly mobile solutions
- You will be the product subject matter expert for our mission partners to help them develop and improve dismounted air defense capabilities, concepts of employment, hardware and software configuration management, and developmental system testing
- You fulfill this responsibility through rigorous operational execution, detail orientation, proactive communication, deep mission understanding, and hard-won product expertise

- Qualify product(s): Achieve success in customer-sponsored acceptance tests of the products within your portfolio
- You are able to distill and analyze test objectives to determine requisite developmental efforts proceeding test events to ensure successful outcomes are achieved
- You will lead the team of Andurillians through the operational execution of product evaluations - managing resources, priorities, and test scope
- Product delivery: Build systems to effectively scale novel capabilities beyond their governmental qualifications and into the hands of warfighters
- You will manage the top-funnel demand of the product, work with manufacturing and supply chain to ensure material readiness, and embed with account teams to coordinate delivery of procured products
- Product sustainment at scale: You will author the processes in which Anduril sustains delivered products, through their entire lifecycle, to include customer outreach, reactive/pro-active servicing, product revisioning, and return material authorization (RMA)
- Relationship management: Build trust with Anduril teammates, vendors, partners, potential customers and users through effective communication, positive attitude, and follow-through
- You are able to brief customers on emerging capabilities and represent Anduril to senior leaders

- You must be able to develop relationships across the company to operate effectively
- You must effectively communicate risks and expectations to a diverse group of stakeholders
- Mission expertise: You will develop a deep understanding of mission requirements for emerging capabilities, including the nature of threats, operational and resource constraints, rules of engagement, and how they intersect with the end user’s experience
- You must proactively communicate this understanding to Anduril’s functional engineering teams to enhance new technologies to support evolving mission needs and product no fit
- You will deeply understand product development priorities and business development opportunities, and frame trade-offs to engineering and sales decision makers
Our take
Anduril makes hardware and software for defense agencies including the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security. Its hardware products include specialist drones with a long flight time and surveillance towers.
This hardware is tied together by proprietary software, the Lattice platform, which uses sensor fusion, machine learning, and mesh networking to integrate real-time data from Anduril hardware and third-party systems into a single, autonomous operating picture. While the hardware observes and detects, the software can make decisions as to the threat level of any anomalies, and so allow for observation and protection of an area or building with minimal manpower.
Anduril closed a $1 billion Series G funding round in 2025 led by the Founders Fund, doubling its valuation to $30 billion. This oversubscribed funding round came after the company doubled its revenue in 2024, when it won a contract with the US military to build its soldiers' VY/AR headsets for combat, a contract the company beat Microsoft to.
