Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of experience in paid marketing, with a strong track record of driving performance in a high-growth environment
- Proven experience managing large budgets and complex, multi-channel, multi-geo campaigns
- Expert knowledge of paid marketing platforms, including Google Ads, Meta Ads, and programmatic advertising
- Knowledge/experience with Affiliate Marketing
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously
- Proficient in using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, and other visualization/tracking tools (Looker, Superset)
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
Desirable
- Prior experience in the fintech, crypto, or technology sectors is highly desirable
What the job involves
- As our Senior Performance Marketing Manager, EMEA, you will lead the strategic planning and execution of paid acquisition campaigns across the region
- This role will be working closely across Marketing, Product, Data Science and Creative and will ensure alignment with business goals
- As an expert in paid platforms, you will own day-to-day campaign management, leveraging testing, data insights and optimization to continually improve performance and identify opportunities to spearhead Coinbase's expansion across EMEA markets
- Develop and execute comprehensive paid marketing strategies across key channels, including Google Ads, Meta, Display, and Affiliate Marketing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Data Science, and Creative, to align paid marketing efforts with broader business objectives
- Manage and optimize large-scale campaigns to ensure efficient spend and maximum return on investment
- Lead the day-to-day management of paid marketing campaigns, including setting up, monitoring, and optimizing performance
- Utilize A/B testing and other optimization techniques to continually improve ad performance
- Analyze campaign data and provide actionable insights to enhance effectiveness and efficiency
- Oversee the paid marketing budget, ensuring that funds are allocated effectively across channels and campaigns
- Forecast spend and ROI, making data-driven decisions to adjust strategies as needed
- Report on budget performance and provide recommendations for future investments
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of paid marketing efforts
- Produce detailed reports and dashboards to communicate results and insights to stakeholders
- Leverage data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development
- Work closely with the broader marketing and cross functional teams to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to digital marketing
- Collaborate with external agencies and partners to drive campaign success
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in digital marketing
- Experiment with new platforms, ad formats, and strategies to drive innovation within the paid marketing function
- Advocate for the adoption of new tools and technologies that can enhance campaign performance

Coinbase allows its users to create their own crypto wallets and start buying or selling cryptocurrencies by connecting with their bank accounts. It also provides a series of merchant payment processing systems and tools that support transactions with many popular websites.
Coinbase has recently made a big push to broaden its services away from consumers and they want to cater services from institutional investors.
Coinbase currently offers one of the largest selection of cryptocurrency assets - over 10,000 but does not allow trading on all of them. The company wisely keeps such offerings to the most stable assets however, the list is always expanding. Coinbase see a much wider adoption of cryptocurrency and tokens in the future, and plan to expand potentially to millions in the future. It speaks volumes to Coinbase's goals of wider global adoption that former UK Finance Minister George Osborne is now an Advisor at the company.
Coinbase's lofty ambitions paid off in it being the first crypto listing on the NASDAQ. The company has weathered several bull and bear runs in the cryptocurrency industry through diversification of its offerings, including wallet-as-a-service technology for crypto platforms, and has acquired healthy coffers of cryptocurrency assets. The aim is to eventually operate independently of the volatility surrounding cryptocurrencies.
