Role
Who you are
- This role is ideal for someone excited to own a fast-emerging category, shape product-market fit, and work alongside technical and commercial leaders who are redefining how the world interacts with Web3 data
- 5+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or technical sales (Web3, data infrastructure, or AI preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic conversations and close complex deals
- Familiarity with blockchain data infrastructure, API platforms, or AI-driven tools
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with product and engineering teams
- Strong communicator with experience in startup or high-growth environments
- Strategic thinker with a builder mindset and the ability to translate emerging opportunities into structured go-to-market motions
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and bringing structure to new initiatives
- Collaborative, low-ego approach to working cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams
- Excited by the convergence of AI, data infrastructure, and Web3—and motivated to shape what’s next
What the job involves
- Validation Cloud is expanding its AI-driven infrastructure offerings, and we’re seeking a commercial leader to drive the go-to-market for our Data x AI product line
- As Director of Business Development – Data x AI, you’ll join a high-performing BD team with deep expertise across staking, node infrastructure, and protocol growth
- You’ll complement this team by owning our efforts in a new vertical—AI-enhanced data intelligence—helping to bring our proprietary engine, Mavrik, to a growing roster of institutional partners
- Identify and build relationships with institutional users of blockchain data—funds, analytics platforms, data providers, and large enterprises
- Drive early adoption and onboarding of design partners by aligning Mavrik’s capabilities with market needs
- Own the sales and partner pipeline from opportunity sourcing to close
- Collaborate cross-functionally with executive, product, and engineering teams to shape go-to-market strategy
- Represent Validation Cloud at relevant conferences and events, evangelizing our Data x AI platform
- Collaborate closely with an established Business Development team focused on staking, node API, and protocol relationships—bringing a complementary lens to the Data x AI vertical
Our take
Within the Web 3.0 sector, Validation Cloud is known as a node API, staking and data service platform, that helps young networks to develop their infrastructure. Working within blockchain technology, Validation Cloud ultimately wants to help more companies migrate into Web 3.0.
So far, the company has aided established networks such as Chainlink and Hedera, and continues to develop infrastructure for emerging blockchains such as Aptos and Eigenlayer. Early VC from the likes of AP Capital Partners and the Blockchain Founders Fund indicate the interest in Validation Cloud, and it plans to use this funding to expand its technology and team.
