Who you are
- Ideal candidates should have a deep understanding of advanced digital technologies (e.g., conversational AI, IVA, knowledge management) and experience in the contact center as a service space (CCaaS)
- Proven track record in sales leadership and a passion for driving growth in the customer experience (CX) market
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a leadership role in the AI or contact center industry
- Proven track record of coaching teams to develop successful sales strategies
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in CRM tools and sales performance metrics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
What the job involves
- We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Sales to lead a high-performing team of 5-7 sales professionals on the West Coast USA
- Focus on coaching and guiding the team in deal pursuits and developing effective sales strategies in the AI and contact center solutions space
- Lead and mentor a dedicated sales team
- Provide coaching on deal pursuits, negotiation tactics, and effective sales strategies
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and one-on-one coaching sessions
- Collaborate with the team to create and implement targeted sales strategies
- Analyze and adapt strategies based on market trends, customer feedback, and competitive landscape
- Provide guidance on complex deal pursuits
- Foster a culture of collaboration and accountability among team members
- Establish clear sales targets and KPIs
- Track progress and provide actionable feedback to drive performance
- Utilize data analytics to assess deal pipelines and inform strategic decisions
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners
- Prepare and present regular sales forecasts and performance reports
- Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement
