What the job involves
- As a Strategic Association Account Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our industry engagement strategy, identifying ecosystem opportunities, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders
- Define and develop a comprehensive strategy for engaging with relevant industry associations to enhance brand visibility, drive thought leadership, and establish our company as a prominent figure in the industry
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align the association engagement strategy with overall business goals and product roadmaps
- Represent the company at association meetings, conferences, and events to strengthen relationships and gather insights
- Plan and execute targeted outreach campaigns to engage new prospects, nurturing existing relationships, and expanding the company's client base
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company, build relationships, and identify potential business opportunities
- Leverage networking opportunities to foster partnerships, collaborations, and strategic alliances
- Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, industry associations, partners, and community leaders
- Work closely with the sales team to develop a robust pipeline of opportunities and drive revenue growth
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create content, collateral, and campaigns that support relationship-building and pipeline expansion efforts
- Identify localized ecosystem opportunities through community engagement and partnership building
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to create initiatives that contribute to the growth and success of localized communities and ecosystems
- Leverage market research and data analysis to identify trends and gaps, driving strategic decision-making
- Work closely with product teams to identify gaps in current offerings and curriculum
- Develop a strong alignment between product offerings and the needs of the industry by gathering feedback and insights from clients, industry associations, and community leaders
- Collaborate with product teams to design and implement curriculum enhancements that address identified gaps
Our take
In today's labor market, around 6 million Americans are out of work. Working populations suffer from wage and qualification inequalities, particularly among women, low-income families, and people of colour. Transfr was created to bridge the gap between work-based learning and classroom instruction so students can better develop their careers.
It is an immersive learning startup using virtual reality to simulate on-the-job training. Transfr leverages virtual reality to create simulations of manufacturing-plant shop floors or warehouses for training purposes. Transfr's solution has become even more relevant in recent years as an ongoing labour shortage has meant that employees in high-growth industries have to find new ways of reaching and rapidly upskilling promising new talent.
Because of this, virtual reality technologies are growing in popularity among employers and training providers. One of the biggest challenges for Transfr’s technology is the production costs of the VR simulations. However, Transfr is using the significant funding it has raised to reduce its production costs while simultaneously fine-tuning the quality and expanding the range of its simulations.
