Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of experience in Sales Compensation, Finance, Sales Strategy, or similar roles with increasing levels of responsibility
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and Tableau required. Experience with Varicent, Xactly, Aeqium or other comp tools is a plus
- Proven track record in building and refining financial models for incentive planning and forecasting
- Ability to navigate executive-level conversations and present complex data in a compelling way
What the job involves
- NEXT is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Sales Compensation Partner to join our People team
- This role will own and elevate the design, administration, and analysis of sales incentive compensation
- In addition to hands-on operational execution, this person will take on higher-level responsibilities, including advanced financial modeling, cross-functional leadership, and strategic compensation planning
- This role will also serve as a critical backup for core compensation activities during leadership absences or high-priority escalations
- Accurately calculate monthly, quarterly, and annual incentive payouts, ensuring alignment with plan design and compliance with company policy
- Maintain, monitor, and enhance sales compensation plans and processes throughout the year to support evolving business objectives, while partnering with Sales, Finance, HR, and Legal leadership to shape long-term compensation strategy that aligns with GTM and revenue goals
- Resolve inquiries related to quotas, territories, credits, and payouts from sales reps and managers with speed and accuracy
- Analyze and validate transaction and performance data to ensure accuracy of incentive compensation
- Streamline compensation workflows and tooling to reduce manual effort, improve reliability, and drive operational efficiency
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide training for stakeholders as needed
- Support audit inquiries and ensure compensation programs are compliant with legal and regulatory requirements

Next Insurance serves small businesses by making it much simpler to take out an insurance policy without the headache associated with many providers. To begin trading any business needs to have some sort of insurance policy in place, traditional offerings can take weeks, often requiring tedious paperwork.
Next Insurance has opted to use AI, machine learning and transparent language to make the process much simpler, it can take just five to ten minutes for customers to obtain a package that suits them.
While Next Insurance is facing established insurance companies such as Hiscox and State Farm, its partnership with Amazon Business Prime to insure its members in a move to target traditionally underserved insurance customers and more recently with LegalZoom, to simplify the insurance process, as well as its nearly half a million customers has the company well set to remain major player in the space.
