Role
Who you are
- We believe this role will particularly suit scrappy generalists with a growth mindset, who want to learn quickly and make an impact across all parts of a fast growing startup
- You bring a mix of strategic thinking, operational execution, and a hands-on mentality
- Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from a top-tier university with a proven track record of academic and professional excellence
- Bring 2+ years of experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, or from the startup ecosystem
- Are comfortable with financial modeling and data analysis
- Can translate business needs into data insights and reporting solutions
- Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Have strong analytical and presentation skills
- Work independently with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Have experience managing multi-stakeholder projects
- Are fluent in German and English
What the job involves
- Work closely with our CEO, Head of Strategy, and broader leadership team to shape Baobab’s long-term success and contribute to strategic decisions
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on new markets, product opportunities, and strategic partnerships
- Drive execution of cross-functional strategic projects together with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Be a catalyst for growth, insight, and operational excellence across all levels of the company
- As Founder Associate, you will take on a broad range of high-impact tasks:
- Drive international expansion and GTM – Shape and execute go-to-market strategies in new regions
- Manage strategic partnerships – Develop and maintain insurer and partner relationships
- Coordinate strategic initiatives – Steer key cross-functional projects and ensure alignment
- Financial modeling & business analysis – Conduct financial analyses that support decision-making and investor relations
- Support leadership & board – Create strategic materials, presentations, and business cases
- Steer operations & analytics – Own the internal KPI dashboard and improve performance tracking
- Own special projects – Step in where needed to solve key challenges across teams
Our take
Most businesses are aware that cyber security software must be used to protect themselves against cyberattacks, but few are aware of the sheer variety of attacks present in today's digital landscape. This makes it increasingly difficult for businesses to equip sufficient protection, resulting in worldwide cyber attacks in 2021 alone costing over $6 trillion.
Baobab insures businesses for cyberattacks, using its team of cyber security experts to assess companies for risk, secure their business, and prevent financial loss. The company's approach to risk assessment not only protects companies against cyber threats themselves but also prevents them from having to spend time, money, and resources on evaluating their own cyber security stack.
Several other cyber security insurance companies seek to protect businesses from cyber threats, but Baobab has taken a unique approach by providing solutions for not just enterprises, but small businesses too. By taking care of this end-to-end process, Baobab is preventing businesses from having to spend time and resources on dealing with cyber security themselves, leaving them with more time to scale.
