Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years in an analytical and strategic data-driven role. Experience in CPG and/or Retail is a plus
- Experience with syndicated data (Circana/Nielsen) and Luminate Charter is a necessity
- Passion to work with data and the ability to synthesize complex data from various sources
- Excellent communicator and storyteller with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Takes ownership and responsibility for the work and desires to be seen as an analytics leader and problem solver, not just a report generator
- Insatiably curious and always looking to learn something new, seeking to improve yourself, your team, and the world around you

What the job involves
- The Centralized Insights & Analytics (CIA) team is a critical function that drives proactive insights to action within the US Personal Care organization
- The CIA organization unites capabilities across data science, analytics, insights, and category management into an integrated function to drive insights into action for everyday decisions and more complex business questions that help shape the future of our business strategy that enables us to best serve our customers
- Capabilities built by this team will meaningfully impact the business through marketing optimization, channel strategy, site optimization, selling stories, thought leadership, innovation, and overall consumer/shopper experience
- Provide the primary customer and internal analytic support for our Walmart business and personal care categories - inclusive of category, market, shopper, and assortment performance analysis
- Serve as a Retail/CPG leader and data expert to peers, cross-functional and external partners - developing the Walmart analytics & insights roadmap and vision to support the channel strategy and be the go-to for ad-hoc retail reporting and analysis
- Serves as a team leader and mentor, building sustainability and efficiencies through the creation of processes/tools, best methods, and ways of working for the total team in addition to proactively finding opportunities to scale across channels
- Lead the launch and onboarding plan for Luminate Charter and serve as Luminate expert for the Harry’s Inc team to extract maximum value from the capability though deep analysis, storytelling and thought leadership with Walmart merchant teams and our internal Brand teams
- Serve as the sales managers' most collaborative and strategic thought partners - they walk away from each interaction knowing that the work, decision, and tactic got stronger based on Retail Analytics input and collaboration
- Be an “always-on storyteller” - interpreting the data, identifying the “so what” and “why” behind the headlines, influencing compelling data-driven presentations, diagnosing impact to channel P&L, driving action through weekly/monthly scorecards, and coaching others to do the same
- Independently identify and drive strategic projects that help unlock new revenue-driving opportunities and push the Harry’s & Retail strategy forward through thoughtful analysis of the category, competitive dynamics, shopper demographics, and purchase dynamics
- Lead broader analytics projects beyond the Walmart customer team to drive overall analytics capabilities, understand total market dynamics, and onboard new programs and tools to improve our collective ability to develop analytical business insights
- Create and maintain best-in-class cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners through understanding interdependencies, proactive communication, and project management
- You will report to the Director of Retail & Category Analytics and will be integrated into our Walmart retail partnership team
- You will be a valued team member of the Centralized Insights & Analytics (CIA) Team
- You will also work closely with the Category Analytics, Insights, Go to Market, Retail, Harry’s/Flamingo Brand, and DTC teams in addition to partnering with our external Walmart merchant partners
Our take
Harry's shot onto the scene in 2012 with the simple idea of great razors at fair prices. And at a time when buying blades felt like taking out a small loan, Harry's built a direct-to-consumer brand that made men's shaving feel modern and affordable. So, what started as an online upstart quickly grew into a serious player, landinow on the shelves of major retailers and one of the best known names in men's grooming.
The road hasn't been entirely smooth as in 2020, a planned billion-dollar sales to Edgewell Personal Care (the owner of brands like Schnik) was blocked by the Federal Trade Commission on competition grounds. At the time, this looks like a major setback, however, it have Harry's the room to keep building on its own terms. Instead of folding into a legacy giant, the company doubled down on growth, raised fresh capital and continued to expand its reach in retail and product lines.
Now, the company isn't just a small startup taking on the razor establishment. It has broadened its grooming range well beyond blade, built a loyal customer base, and proved it can compete both online and in-store. What began as a challenger brand has evolved into a mainstay of the men's personal care aisle.
