Who you are

- In this role, you’ll be helping organizations big and small get access to more resources so they can grow their impact
- Over the past year, we’ve seen great results reaching out to universities and non-profits to let them know about Instrumentl, and now we are growing a dedicated team to scale this effort. We are looking for someone who loves the idea of spending all day on the phone with non-profits and universities
- But, we’re not just looking for a typical sales rep. We are looking for someone who wants to build a sales career and do good at the same time
- This role is perfect for a sales professional early on in their career, or someone looking to career switch into sales, that wants to help some of the best organizations in the world
- The Instrumentl team is fully distributed
- Research organizations that would be a good fit for Instrumentl
- Make over 400 dials per week to engage prospects and book demos with the team
- Track and document account and decision-maker details in our CRM so that we can close
- Learn how our value proposition applies to different types of organizations, so that you can engage in quality conversation on the phone
- Spend 10% of your time collaborating with other departments and/or working on experiments that we think have the potential to be a force multiplier
- An excellent hire will:
- Book 10+ demos for the team every week through top of funnel outreach (we have people doing more than 10/week today)
- Win over organizations with fast follow through, strong attention to detail, and palpable customer empathy
- Communicate insights and blockers from conversations to help inform how to make our pitch better

Our take
For nonprofits and academic institutions, a lot of energy and manpower is funnelled into finding the right grants and drafting their applications. This work before the work often takes hundreds of hours, and many funding bodies have as little as a 20% success rate. Instrumentl has set out to change that with its full-grant-drafting pipeline platform.
Instrumentl’s AI-powered platform works across the full grant lifecycle, assisting applicants in researching the perfect fit for funding, increasing redraft efficiency, discovering insights to align applications with the funding body's requirements and tracking and managing applications. Ultimately, then, Instrumentl sheds the need for multiple grant application tools and becomes a one-stop shop for grant consultants, non-profits and academic researchers.
It’s making a difference too, with a 2024 survey of customers revealing that its software helped them gain, on average, an extra $1.1 million a year. With a total of more than $7.7 billion raised through the platform and more than 4,500 leading organizations as customers, it’s unsurprising that Instrumentl itself has seen significant funding awarded. As the work of global non-profits grows in importance, Instrumentl is living up to its name.
