- Proficiency in Java for test automation; experience with JavaScript is a plus
- Experience with backend technologies like SpringBoot and SpringCloud, and frontend technologies like Next.JS is beneficial
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, deployment to Kubernetes (K8S) using tools like GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and cloud platforms like AWS
- Practical experience with contract testing tools (e.g., Pact)
- Experience with BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow) and performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling, K6)
- ⚡ Testing Aficionado: Good understanding of testing principles, including functional, component, integration, regression, and performance testing
- ⚡ Detail-Obsessed: You have a keen eye for detail to identify issues and ensure comprehensive test coverage

What the job involves
- We’re Navro, a rapidly scaling B2B payments startup, and we’re looking for an organised, detailed, self-starting Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to support our Engineering Team
- This is your chance to contribute to our testing strategy, drive automation, and ensure our cutting-edge platform is reliable and performs flawlessly
- As an SDET at Navro, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge payment services
- You'll be responsible for developing and automating software test plans and test cases
- You will contribute to continuous improvement through active participation in retrospectives, suggesting innovations, and helping to keep our testing processes modern and effective
- Contributing to the design, development, and implementation of test automation frameworks and strategies
- Collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to ensure early testing engagement in the development lifecycle
- Developing, executing, and maintaining test plans and test cases for functional, integration, performance, and regression testing
- Championing and applying Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) principles
- Contributing to contract testing initiatives using tools like Pact
- Helping to identify performance bottlenecks and utilizing performance/load testing tools
- Working with cross-functional teams to understand testing goals, close knowledge gaps, and share best practices
- Staying up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies to drive continuous improvement
