Role
Who you are
- 3+ years of DevOps or infrastructure engineering experience, preferably at a high-growth startup
- Strong AWS experience, including services like EC2, ECS, RDS, Lambda, and IAM
- Proficiency in scripting languages (preferably Python) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and ability to debug and optimize complex systems
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions or similar
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of large initiatives from day one
- Willing to work in person from our NYC office 4-5 days a week
What the job involves
- As the first DevOps Engineer at EliseAI, you will own the systems and processes that support reliable software deployment across multiple environments
- You’ll be responsible for managing configuration, maintaining deployment workflows, and ensuring operational consistency as our infrastructure scales
- This role requires close collaboration across engineering, product, and platform teams to support end-to-end delivery—from development through production
- You’ll help build the foundation for how we deploy, monitor, and scale our systems as the company continues to grow
- Build, maintain, and improve infrastructure using AWS and modern DevOps practices
- Design and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response systems to ensure high availability
- Automate deployment pipelines and manage CI/CD workflows
- Collaborate with engineers to identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues
- Improve system security and auditability across environments
- Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies to enhance operations

EliseAI, previously MeetElise, provides AI-powered leasing agent software that aims to solve this problem.
The company deploys machine learning to fill communication gaps between agents and clients, in addition to providing mixed reality solutions for digital property viewings. The startup claims that their software increases conversion rates from traditional leasing methods and tools by more than 65%, responding instantly to 90% of custom inquiries for over 250,000 properties. 60% of the top 50 real estate businesses in the US use EliseAI, whilst 30 million residents and prospective customers have had conversations with the AI.
Estate agents across the globe have developed digital platforms to serve customers digitally. However, EliseAI presents an all-in-one solution that aims to support estate agents and their clients, regardless of whether in-person communication is possible. Funding secured by the company will be used by to propel its growth and prop up its already secured equity capital.
