Role
Who you are
- Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with Python or a similar programming language
- Familiarity with PySpark for big data processing
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow or Mage
- Knowledge of data Lakehouse development
- Proficiency in database performance optimisation, particularly with PostgreSQL
- Competence in using Docker, GitHub and documentation tools like Markdown
- Understanding of data science and statistical principles
- Desirable: Programming experience with Ruby or Scala
- Desirable: Practical experience in deploying machine learning/AI solutions to production environments
What the job involves
- Develop and deliver high-quality pipelines in Python and PySpark, complete with automated tests
- Comprehend our architecture and contribute to the development of a Lakehouse that maximises our data's potential
- Assist in scoping and planning projects within a multi-disciplinary team
- Offer pragmatic recommendations on the most suitable technical tools for each task
- Collaborate with the team to make data-driven decisions
- Identify, prioritise and resolve bugs efficiently
