What the job involves

- As Director of Product, you will lead our product team to outbuild the competition, leveraging our legacy product's insights to deliver an effortless customer experience and measurable GMV growth
- Deliver Effortless Value: Own the mission of building a highly differentiated workflow engine that removes friction for photographers, allowing them to focus on their clients and their craft
- Drive First-Principles Innovation: Build the next generation of AI-first products by leveraging our deep vertical knowledge, customer insights, and existing data foundations
- Lead the AI-Transformation: Use your experience in building AI products to transform our discovery and delivery processes, coaching the team to use Spec-Driven Development (SDD) for maximum clarity and speed
- Master Stakeholder Alignment: Act as a high-level communicator and partner for Marketing, Customer Success, and Engineering, ensuring everyone is aligned on the path to customer success
- Lead with Balance: Navigate ambiguity and overcome barriers to drive impact "no matter what," providing the team with the balanced leadership they need to excel
Our take
Taking professional photos for events and schools is as much an exercise in administration as it is in photography, with a gruelling and largely manual workload of organising photos, taking payments and shipping out prints eating into a photographer's time. GotPhoto exists to make this process much easier, automating promotions, sales and fulfillment, freeing the photographer to focus on their core business.
Considered the leader in its market, GotPhoto has amassed a customer base of about 4000 small-medium business and sole trader clients across the UK, US and DACH regions. While the company has had strong growth in recent years it still has a large market to grow into, with a core market that grows year on year as more photographers look into automation for their businesses.
GotPhoto was acquired by EQT Growth in 2023, providing investment for the platform's development and the addition of new features. This sets up the company to be able to tap its parent's commercial connections as it aims to grow its lead in an estimated $5 billion market.
