Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of professional experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management over complex systems in other industries
- Experience planning and executing complex programs with elements of hardware, software, and systems engineering development
- Ability to understand and communicate with senior management regarding program performance status (cost/schedule/resources/risk)
- Experience creating and giving presentations and addressing complex matter / solutions with senior leaders
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced development environment
- Able to travel up to 25% of time
Desirable
- Experience with satellite development and/or mission operations
- Experience working with a diverse set of U.S. Government DoD, IC and Civil customers

What the job involves
- You will be responsible for enabling customer success and growth
- The Program Manager reports to the Director of Programs and collaborates with Muon Space’s Engineering, Technology, regulatory, legal and finance departments
- You will be responsible for leading a program team to develop and carry out an execution plan that meets program objectives
- As a Program Manager, you will be responsible for leading all phases of the program life cycle from inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, launch, and operations
- The primary objective is to deliver all contractual requirements on cost and on schedule, while achieving all technical requirements and building a customer relationship to support future programs and company growth
- The individual will lead a cross-functional team aligned to common program performance goals
- Leading cross-functional teams to meet program cost, schedule and technical performance objectives
- Measuring and reporting program performance
- Ensuring program team understands and adheres to contract scope, andmanages change through control board activities
- Delivering presentations to customers, executive management and other program stakeholders
- Participating in the negotiation of contracts, contract changes, specifications, operating budgets, schedule milestones, and key terms and conditions
- Adherence to all internal processes, policies, and applicable industry standards
- Cultivating customer relationships and success to enable further opportunities within the customer community
Our take
Developing and operating satellites represents a significant challenge. Many organizations need accurate, space-based data but lack the resources or expertise to build their own spacecraft or manage the necessary ground systems and data processing.
To tackle this issue, Muon Space provides a service called Muon Halo. This allows customers to access satellite data without having to handle the technical details of satellite construction or operation. Muon offers end-to-end solutions, including building and launching satellites, managing operations, and processing collected data.
Muon has contracts with major customers like the US Air Force and US Space Force, and it is set to launch ten satellites between 2025 and 2026. With financial backing, the company is ready to expand its services and meet the growing demand for space-based solutions.
