Role
Who you are
- Expert capabilities across analyst tooling - incl. SQL, a programming language such as Python or R
- Experience of analytical engineering - preferably using dbt
- Experience using a visualisation tool such as Tableau or Looker
- Extensive experience in Marketing, Product or Commercial analytics utilising advanced analytical methodologies
- Curiosity and the ability to join the dots between different parts of the organisation
- Experience in using Ai for analytics purposes
Desirable
- Experience with a version control system such as git
- Experience of experimentation, attribution or marketing mix modelling
What the job involves
- Reporting to the Principal Analyst for Selling, the Senior Analyst will partner with stakeholders across Product, Trading, and Marketing to deliver data-first solutions to strategic questions, analyse performance, and translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations that directly shape commercial strategy and drive business growth
- Working across multiple stakeholder groups including product, marketing and trading
- Collaborating with analysts, engineers, data scientists, and commercial teams to define metrics and develop data products that provide clear insights and support rapid, data-driven decision-making
- Working with Ai tools, and being passionate about leveling the team and stakeholders up
- Setting standards for high quality visualisations and reports (we use Looker and Looker Studio)
- Participate in knowledge sharing, coaching colleagues and team members, playing a key role in driving a culture of continuous development within the analytics team

Our take
Travel, both domestic and overseas, has been a huge part of the British economy since the late 20th century. In 2019, UK residents spent £43 billion on foreign holidays - almost double the amount spent a decade before.
Despite travel companies suffering considerable reputation damage back in 2020, as they struggled to refund customers whose booked holidays were suddenly cancelled, the appeal of companies like loveholidays to holidaymakers will undoubtedly endure seeing as they make the process of booking holidays much easier.
In the nearest future, loveholidays will need to focus on maintaining its reputation, especially given the wide array of direct competitors who could steal market share. At present, however, loveholidays is still one of the fastest growing online travel agents. If it can keep up the practices which have brought it success over the past 10 years, loveholidays is still in a good position to keep its growth strong for few years to come.
