Who you are
- You have a real desire to create meaningful impact through the designs and products you work on

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Product Designer who’s excited to design, deliver and improve complex products that enable our participants and researchers to feel truly valued.
- You’ll design products that make it easier for people to take part in something extraordinary—and you’ll help shape how design works across our organisation
- This is a chance to lead with empathy, mentor others, and bring clarity to complex challenges.
- You’ll work closely with passionate, multidisciplinary teams and help guide how we build products that are trusted, accessible, and address unique user needs
- Our Designers are able to work remotely from anywhere within the UK, and our London office is available for those who wish to use it
- Lead the design of complex, live products within a cross-functional team
- Gain deep understanding of the needs of our users through research and testing
- Iterate and develop ideas from early stage ideation to production ready prototypes
- Collaborate with key stakeholders and teams across Our Future Health to create seamless user journeys across all digital products
- Champion accessibility and inclusivity in everything you create
- Manage and develop Junior Designers, fostering an inclusive, supportive, and psychologically safe environment

Our take
Millions of people spend too much of their life with poor health, with medical professionals only able to treat diseases when symptoms start to present. But what if later-life diseases could be prevented earlier through a better understanding of public health? Our Future Health is a ground-breaking new study, aiming to collect a blood sample and a short questionnaire from 5 million members of the British public.
One of the two major strands of genomic study in the UK (the other is the Newborn Genomes Program which will be running in parallel), Our Future Health is set to become the largest health research program in the world. With funding from government and the private sector (with particular interest from pharmaceutical investors) it will cement Britain's reputation as a world leader in genomics, and is expected to lead to major advances in the fight against obesity, diabetes, heart disease and other causes of poor health.
Aside from looking for volunteers for the study, Our Future Health is also seeking engineering talent to help build the infrastructure that will gather, analyse and protect the research data. It will be exciting to see how this charity develops and what discoveries emerge from its data in the future.
