Role
Who you are
- Proven expertise in managing backend systems that support highly performant and scalable applications
- Extensive experience with Docker
- Extensive experience of setting up and maintaining Kubernetes clusters
- Proficiency in scripting (e.g. bash) for automation
- Extensive experience with resource management in the Azure or AWS cloud.
- Familiarity with message broker systems like Kafka to facilitate seamless, high throughput communication between services
- Proficiency in establishing and maintaining CI/CD systems to enhance code deployment speed and quality using GitHub Actions
- Familiarity with maintaining and supporting monitoring tools such as prometheus/grafana
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and experience with tools such as Terraform
- Sound understanding and appreciation of data security and privacy principles
- Extensive experience in implementing and managing secure network infrastructures, including VPNs, firewalls, and secure gateways, with a focus on safely integrating third-party networks
- Comfort in working within an agile environment and a willingness to challenge yourself and your team to continuously enhance your work processes
- Comfortable in taking initiative and ownership of projects to drive them forward
Desirable
- Experience in configuring and managing cloud infrastructure necessary for large-scale ML deployments
- Experience in building and maintaining ML CI/CD pipelines for deploying models at scale. Experience in data retraining and evaluation pipelines is a plus
- Experience in setting up systems for monitoring model performance
What the job involves
- As a Cloud Architect/DevOps Engineer, you will be a key player in advancing Buddywise's technological capabilities and delivering a robust, high-performance backend infrastructure that propels our product to new heights
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain robust and scalable infrastructure solutions
- Deploy and maintain the health of backend systems, ensuring high performance, responsiveness, and reliability
- Utilize Docker for containerization
- Utilize Kubernetes for orchestration
- Take lead on designing secure cloud infrastructure and networking solutions
- Work with Azure and AWS cloud services to deploy and manage infrastructure
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery
- Perform release management and coordinate deployment processes
- Set up and configure monitoring systems to ensure system stability and performance
