- Ideal candidates have a proven track record of creating exceptional B2B SaaS products that deliver impactful customer experiences while streamlining complex workflows
- You thrive in ambiguous and complex environments, using autonomy to drive innovation and improve ease of use for knowledge management and workflow automation
- With strong collaboration skills, you’ll work closely with Product Management and Engineering to translate customer needs into successful business outcomes
- While experience in GRC or security is a plus, it’s not required—many of our team members have excelled without prior industry experience
- 6+ years of experience delivering high-quality B2B SaaS products on large-scale projects, with a strong focus on high-quality design execution
- Proven ability to create designs that drive business impact by deeply understanding the domain, leveraging customer insights, validating decisions through research, and influencing internal stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in leading the design process from ambiguity to execution for entire product areas, maintaining high executional quality and organizational impact
- Prior experience designing automated processes and utilizing AI to effectively solve customer pain points
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (e.g., subject matter experts, engineers, sales), translating complex technical concepts into intuitive, customer-friendly designs
- Proven ability to mentor and influence others, including senior and executive management teams, driving design strategy, systemic thinking, and product sensibility
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems, and managing projects with proactive escalation handling
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating design concepts to diverse audiences
- A portfolio is required, showcasing consumer-grade craftsmanship and product solutions tailored to customer needs
What the job involves
- We are currently seeking a Senior Product Designer for our Questionnaire Automation product, which helps teams complete security questionnaires more efficiently using AI-powered solutions and workflows
- Your focus will be on boosting user efficiency, enhancing features for better customer satisfaction, and showing product value through insights and reporting
- In this role you’ll help shape the future of our Questionnaire Automation product by:
- Exploring new frontiers with how new AI technologies can automate critical security workflows
- Leading new projects to drive AI powered insights, automate manual and repetitive tasks and simplify complex workflows to create integrated product experiences
- Influencing key features across the company by creating design guidelines that ensure a seamless experience for all Vanta customers
- The Experience Design organization champions our customers by creating and delivering efficient consumer grade experiences through our trust management platform
- We aim to earn their trust and contribute to a more secure internet. By providing valuable solutions, we empower Vanta to grow as a business
- Our role is vital to the company’s strategic direction, and you will have a significant impact on our product development
- You will report to a Design Director within the Experience Design Organization
- Lead the design and execution of strategic, shared components and features that drive significant customer value and promote consistency across the platform
- Engage in customer discovery to shape feature strategy and design scalable experiences that align with the Trust pillar and QAuto team's goals
- Collaborate with product teams to identify and advocate for design initiatives that have a broad organizational impact
- Foster collaboration among design peers to ensure shared solutions are effective and adaptable across various areas of the platform
- Enhance our design system, ensuring additions support strategic objectives and uphold high design standards across the organization
Our take
The security auditing process is usually very time-consuming, taking hours to complete, and it is often difficult for start-ups to invest time into such a process. Yet, the benefits of security accreditation are enormous, mainly as many such businesses are working globally and need ways to demonstrate security compliance to one another. Vanta works specifically with start-ups to help them complete and pass security audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.
The company is a compliance portal and security monitoring platform that businesses use to assess their risk levels. Vanta carries out a pre-audit of a company's digital security and highlights areas that need to be worked on before a full analysis of all threats is carried out. Other businesses such as Datadog or PagerDuty offer similar security monitoring services, but Vanta monitors its customers throughout the year, allowing any issues to be identified and addressed early on.
Vanta has found a valuable cybersecurity niche within the giant SaaS market. Companies such as Lattice, Clubhouse, and Calm are all customers, demonstrating a growing trend for companies to manage their cybersecurity proactively, which Vanta should be able to take advantage of to further grow and develop into the future.
