Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in product management, particularly in digital media publisher settings
- They should have a strong understanding of monetization strategies (both in direct-to-consumer subscriptions and advertising), agile processes, and emerging AI technology
- This is a great role for someone with experience in product management - ideally in a digital media publisher setting - that's looking to deploy their understanding of monetization strategies (both in direct-to-consumer subscriptions and advertising), agile processes, and emerging AI technology
- Proven experience in managing and developing high-performing teams, including individual contributors and managers
- Strong understanding of monetization strategies in the digital media space, including experience with direct-to-consumer subscriptions and digital media advertising
- Experience leading product management through agile processes and methodologies, A/B testing, and emerging AI technology and opportunities
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data and research to inform product decisions
- Strong understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to anticipate industry trends, including experience leveraging gen AI and large language models to solve user problems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment

- Reuters is looking for an experienced Director of Consumer Product to head our consumer product team
- In this new role, you'll lead the ideation, development, and launch of innovative consumer products across the Reuters web and mobile app, managing a high-performing team of product managers, and using a data-driven approach to enhance user satisfaction and drive revenue growth
- You'll lead a high performing team, leverage data and research for product decisions to anticipate industry trends and will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team
- If that's not enough, you'll also play a key role in shaping how news and media from one of the world's most trusted brands reaches its global audience
- Working at Reuters, you'll have the opportunity to shape the future of our consumer products and make a significant impact on our business strategy
- Lead a team through the ideation, technical development and launch of innovative products for our consumer properties, including our website and mobile app
- Manage and develop a high-performing team of product managers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and customer focus
- Influence senior stakeholders and build consensus on strategies and priorities, fostering a ‘test and learn’ approach to product management
- Use a data-driven approach to drive product development; integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver products that meet user needs and drive revenue growth
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
- Understand Reuters’ strategic and competitive position, stay abreast of industry trends, anticipate changes in the competitive landscape, and deliver products that are recognized as best in the industry
- Manage multiple products and priorities, scale teams, and ensure that org is effective, healthy and set up for success by establishing clear and measurable goals
