Who you are
- You have 1 or more years of relevant professional experience with prospecting, cold calling, emailing, networking, and researching
- You have a strong sense of curiosity and can uncover business initiatives and challenges that prospective customers are having. Being an effective problem solver is critical in this role
- You have strong business acumen and can speak to the business value that 1Password brings to our customers
- You have excellent written and oral communication skills

- It’s a bonus if you have experience in the SaaS industry or have worked within the Security or IT space
- It’s also a bonus if you have personal experience with 1Password as it will help you quickly gain confidence in this role
What the job involves
- We’re looking for Business Development Representatives (BDRs) to join our growing team
- Our Business development team partners closely with our Sales Executives to drive our outbound sales efforts
- As a Business Development Representative, your primary responsibility is to generate sales pipeline through multi-channel prospecting including emails, cold calling, video, and social outreach
- You will research and prospect into target accounts with the goal of generating interest and booking meetings with our Sales Executive team
- You will get to know 1Password and what challenges it solves for our customers and users
- You will leverage an industry-leading software stack in your outbound prospecting, including Salesforce, Outreach, and Linkedin Sales Navigator
- You will try new things – if something isn’t working, you’ll be encouraged to be creative and to try new tactics and strategies

The continuation of remote and hybrid working, the rapid adoption of cloud apps and the acceleration of work-related burnout are trends combining to generate increasing demand for 1Password’s core service: password management.
Having started with a simple product for consumers, the company has now built out an impressive enterprise offering with over 100,000 business customers. However, its roots in B2C have arguably led to its B2B success with bottom-up adoption in large companies and a vibrant community of enthusiasts around the product.
The company is now looking to drive continued growth with an expansion of engineering and product teams to build out the portfolio of products.
