Role
Who you are
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
- At least 10 years of financial management experience in senior roles
- Experience in setting up and scaling finance departments in startups or fast-paced environments
- Proficiency in German GAAP, controlling, financial planning, international consolidation, and reporting
- Expertise in loan portfolio management and structured finance
- Skilled in advanced financial software and tools
- Exceptional analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
- Fluency in English and German
What the job involves
- Our CFO will spearhead both our finance department, run debt structuring and will monitor our loan portfolio
- Key responsibilities include overseeing accounting, controlling, investor reporting, business planning, and budgeting
- The role involves analysing and maintaining our loan portfolio, conducting relevant reporting to lenders, and managing business intelligence
- The CFO will also collaborate closely with our CEO in equity and debt fundraising activities
- Guide the company's financial strategy in line with our overarching vision and goals
- Provide financial insights and advice to the executive team
- Head the finance department, ensuring efficient and scalable financial processes
- Manage financial operations including treasury, tax, accounting, and budgeting
- Establish and optimize cash management and treasury
- Implement controlling best practices and ensure accurate financial reporting under German GAAP
- Manage all financial statements and reporting processes
- Business Intelligence: Conduct financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis both regarding financials and loan portfolio
- Analyse financial data to drive informed business decisions
- Consolidate loan portfolio analysis and financial planning/reporting
- Become one of two Managing Directors in one or more of Banxware Group Companies
- Oversee loan portfolio management, balancing risk and returns
- Collaborate with the credit team on risk assessment processes
- Consolidate risk predictions in financial forecasts and modelling
- Lead structured finance initiatives, including securitizations and warehouse finance facilities
- Work with external partners to optimize financing structures
- Lead transaction team on debt facility set-ups

Furthermore, the development of open banking enacted regulations that would give any business consumer data, to allow fintechs to provide services and products that previously only banks could own. Most notable of these offerings are embedded financial services.

This allows any kind of online platform, including marketplaces and payment providers, to offer bank-like services, covering funding, trading, payments, loan management and bank account maintenance. This closes the gap that exists between fintechs and digital platforms with established banks by putting the customer first.

Having raised multiple funding rounds and securing a strategic partnership with PAYONE (a market leader of payment services) and Agicap (a liquidity management and financial planning platform), Banxware looks to be continuing the expansion of its service offerings.
