Role
Who you are
- 10+ years of hands-on experience managing high-budgets, complex paid search programs, preferably in a B2B, SaaS, or Enterprise technology environment
- Expert-level proficiency in Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising (Bing Ads), and related tools (e.g., Google Analytics 4, Search Ads 360, SEMrush)
- Demonstrated ability to manage the entire SEM lifecycle from strategy and forecasting to hands-on execution and executive-level reporting
- Deep understanding of B2B marketing funnels, lead scoring, and the relationship between SEM metrics (CPA, CTR) and business outcomes (Pipeline, ACV)
- Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to build pivot tables, conduct VLOOKUPs, and interpret complex datasets in Excel/Google Sheets
- Experience managing campaigns for global markets, understanding localization and cultural nuances
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Understands interconnectivity with all paid media channels and ability to plan integrated strategies
What the job involves
- We are looking for a strategic and highly analytical Senior SEM Manager, to own and scale our global paid search initiatives, driving high-quality, high-intent traffic that translates directly into pipeline and revenue
- The Senior SEM Manager, will be a key driver of our global B2B demand generation engine, responsible for the strategy, execution, and performance of our paid search portfolio across multiple product lines (e.g., Strata, Prisma, Cortex)
- This role requires a blend of hands-on tactical execution, advanced analytical skills, and strategic collaboration with sales, product marketing, and regional teams to ensure SEM efforts are tightly aligned with business objectives and account-based marketing
- You will partner with the other paid channels to create cohesive multi-channel strategies that lead to optimal outcomes and compliment SEO and GEO/ AIO strategy
- Develop, manage, and optimize the comprehensive global paid search strategy (Google Ads, Bing/Microsoft Ads/ Naver) to meet and exceed key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on MQL volume, pipeline generation, and ROI/ROAS
- Own and manage large-scale, multi-million dollar budgets, ensuring optimal spend allocation across campaigns, geos, and product categories to maximize efficiency and business impact
- Design and implement highly granular and scalable campaign structures for efficient keyword management, ad relevancy, and sophisticated AI bidding strategies tailored to the B2B sales cycle
- Implement and refine complex automated bidding strategies, utilizing portfolio bidding, conversion value rules, and target CPA/ROAS models to drive down costs while accelerating lead quality
- Direct and execute rigorous A/B testing across ad copy (including RSAs and dynamic formats), landing pages, and call-to-actions to continuously improve conversion rates and Quality Score
- Leverage first-party data, customer match lists, in-market audiences,/Customer Match strategies to target high-value accounts and personalize search experiences in alignment with SEO and GEO
- Conduct in-depth analysis of SEM performance, translating raw data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with marketing operations and finance teams to track performance from initial click through MQL, SQL, Opportunity, and Closed/Won revenue, demonstrating the ROI of every dollar spent
- Monitor the competitive landscape, identify market trends, and implement strategies to ensure Palo Alto Networks maintains a high share of voice and visibility in core search categories
- Serve as the paid search subject matter expert, partnering closely with SEO, Web Development, Content, and Product Marketing teams to ensure consistent messaging, seamless user experience, and full utilization of owned assets
- Provide guidance and expertise team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and high-performance in paid media best practices
