Role
Who you are
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field of study; or commensurate professional experience required
- 5+ years experience managing a team of engineers developing data pipelines and reporting applications
- Success leading a data engineering team through complex challenges that are large in scope
- Prior experience in SAAS organizationStrong knowledge of modern data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling best practices
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Ruby and Typescript
- Knowledge of AI tools including Langchain and LLM APIs
- Experience with AWS Sagemaker and general machine learning techniques
- Excellent communication skills and understanding of the realities of developing in a startup environment (i.e. you know the difference between small problems and big ones)
- Familiarity with our modern data stack on AWS, including AWS MSK, AWS MWAA, AWS Glue, Redshift, and Tableau
Desirable
- Previous experience as a Software Engineer
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
- Experience with AWS
