Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying scalable frontend and backend applications leveraging modern languages and frameworks (Python, Django, FastAPI, and React preferred)
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience, with a focus on building security or compliance-driven software solutions
  • Experience driving the design and implementation of large-scale initiatives for SaaS products with a focus on device management, security, or compliance
  • Experience working in high-growth startup environments, comfortable balancing tactical and strategic considerations
  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies/mindset and experience facilitating agile ceremonies
  • Thrives in an environment with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
  • Strong communication skills with a customer-focused mindset
  • Quality-first mindset with a commitment to engineering excellence
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Desirable

  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • As an Engineering Manager, Device Compliance at Kandji, you will lead the development of innovative solutions that empower IT teams to maintain compliance and security across Apple devices
  • You will drive initiatives that enhance device compliance visibility, automate compliance checks, and proactively address security risks.
  • Working closely with Product and Design teams, you will shape tools and experiences that redefine how organizations manage device compliance at scale
  • We are looking for an engineering manager with a proven track record of empowering teams to ship high-quality, scalable software solutions in device compliance and security management
  • Lead a team of talented engineers who are passionate about shipping high-quality code and tackling complex engineering challenges
  • Understand and report on progress and pacing of initiatives, ensuring alignment with product goals and organizational objectives
  • Create a collaborative work environment that fosters autonomy, inclusivity, innovation, learning, respect, and transparency, while maintaining a high bar for craftsmanship and engineering excellence
  • Contribute to and execute on the organization’s vision and standards around security, quality, observability, and clean code
  • Share your knowledge with team members by reviewing code, collaborating on design documents, giving technical talks, formal mentorship, and offering real-time feedback
  • Collaborate closely with Design and Product teams to ensure that your team has a well-defined roadmap, delivering impactful features and improvements
  • Collaborate with other engineering teams to identify and evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity, code quality, automated testing, and best practices
  • Facilitate the squad’s agile meetings by taking on the Scrum Master role, ensuring smooth and efficient development cycles
  • Drive the development of device compliance features, including automated compliance checks and real-time compliance reporting
