Senior Software Engineer, BentoBox

• 6+ years of experience writing production code within the context of a web-based framework such as Django, Rails, or Node along with an ORM
• 6+ years of experience transforming ambiguity into concrete engineering tasks
• 6+ years of experience collaborating with product teams, with the ability to guide them through essential steps. The platform includes products like websites, online ordering (including pre-order and catering), gift cards, merchandise, ticketing, event management, and marketing tools
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent preferred or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

• You will be joining the BentoBox team, which is part of the Restaurant Solutions division of Fiserv
• Your work will focus on providing technical leadership while building durable, scalable applications using a variety of leading-edge tools & technologies
• You will also work with designers, product managers, and other engineers to implement new features on our platform
• BentoBox empowers modern restaurants to build their online presence, diversify revenue, engage with diners, and increase operational efficiency
• To do so, the platform includes products such as websites, ordering (online ordering, pre-order & catering, gift cards, merchandise, tickets), events management, and marketing tools
• Drive the product and design teamwork through the product specification, design, and feasibility process
• Contribute unit and integration tests for new and existing features
• Provide effective and constructive feedback on other engineer’s contributions
• Research and recommend new technologies, help set best practices and coding standards
• Mentor and guide engineers in best practices and career development
• Write clean, high-quality production code that enhances our platform
• Work with the product and design teams through the specification and design process to ensure successful outcomes
