Who you are
- Demonstrable experience as a Finance Business Partner in addition to experience as a Finance Analyst or working within an FP&A function
- Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset and ability to influence at all levels
- Excellent Microsoft Excel proficiency
- Strong knowledge of reporting standards and management accounting techniques
- Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders and driving commercial outcomes
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach
- Confident in building and delivering detailed analysis, turning complex data into clear, business-ready recommendations
- Experience in a PE-backed or technology-driven business is highly desirable
What the job involves
- As a Senior Finance Business Partner at Jagex, you’ll play a central role in shaping financial strategy, delivering insights, and influencing outcomes across the business
- Reporting into the wider finance leadership team, you’ll collaborate closely with key business units, including game teams and cross-functional partners, to embed financial discipline, optimise performance, and support investment decisions with clarity and precision
- This is a high-impact role where you'll produce accurate and insightful forecasts, reports, and models, while acting as a trusted advisor in a fast-paced, data-driven, and PE-backed environment
- Act as a trusted Finance partner to leaders across key business units to provide financial insight, embed cost discipline and challenge decision-making
- Provide transparent and actionable budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans
- Deliver accurate, insightful and timely financial reports. Drive the monthly Finance Reporting Pack (e.g. GM analysis, OPEX analysis, headcount analysis)
- Develop robust financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic decision making and optimise business performance
- Work with gaming teams to understand the gaming roadmaps
- Partner with and support key stakeholders to assess financial impacts of transformation projects to support long-term business strategy
- Support business cases for investment decisions, including ROI analysis and scenario modelling
- Enhance FP&A processes, leveraging automation and best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy

Founded in 2000, Jagex is the video game studio behind the RuneScape titles. It is one of the largest British video game studios, having ammased 2.4 million active subscribers, one million free-to-play users, and over 300 million lifetime RuneScape accounts.
Jagex specialises in "forever games", in which players can continue to discover new experiences and challenges without ever reaching an end. RuneScape is a perfect example of this approach, still receiving updates over twenty years after its initial release.
On top of the RuneScape franchise, the company's acquisition of Gamepires brought titles such as SCUM under the company's banner, which it is also working to make into a forever game. It also acquired Pipeworks - adding a Games-as-a-Service platform to its broadening portfolio.
In 2024, it was announced that Jagex would be bought by CVC Capital Partners and Haveli Investments. This represents a move that will position it well to pursue creating more new and innovative player experiences in the future.
