Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or business
- CPA/CA or equivalent
- 5+ years of relevant leadership work experience in public accounting and/or a high tech organization
- Excellent leadership skills with collaborative working style and ability to work cross functionally
- Ability to self-manage and execute in unstructured environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to influence and drive sound business decisions
- Proven track record of increased responsibilities and scope
- Solid knowledge of accounting policies/procedures and financial statements
- Strong program management and organization skills with an ability to plan and perform multiple tasks
- Ability to independently resolve complex problems where analysis requires the in-depth evaluation of numerous factors
- Experience with ERP system preferred
What the job involves
- This is a high-impact, high-visibility role as a core member of the accounting team at Nuro
- You will research and document accounting positions, manage quarterly financial reporting, provide accounting guidance to support business initiatives, work with cross- functional teams to establish internal controls, and engage in the enhancement of ERP including supply chain and manufacturing systems
- Reporting to the Controller, you will be executing a wide range of projects for one of the leaders in robotics and autonomous space
- Research complex accounting issues including revenue recognition, software development costs and document accounting conclusions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by providing accounting guidance on emerging business initiatives, R&D activities, new product development and launch, complex agreements, and non-routine transactions
- Maintain the company’s accounting policies and positions
- Monitor accounting pronouncements and lead the implementation of new accounting standards
- Prepare quarterly/annual financial statements and associated footnotes disclosure
- Perform financial statement analysis and document meaningful explanations for fluctuations
- Support accounting for the company lease portfolio, including expansions into new sites and the sublease of existing spaces
- Manage the PBC list and serve as a point of contact for auditors
- Participate in close-related accounting reviews and analyses

Without a passenger inside the vehicle, it has been able to sidestep some of the safety issues that have plagued other autonomous vehicle brands. Additionally, the company has landed several high-profile partners, including Uber, Walmart, Chipotle, and Kroger.
With home deliveries at an all-time high, many companies are looking for ways to get goods to customers’ homes as fast as possible. Low-cost, efficient services such as Nuro's offering are becoming increasingly attractive. The company is turning its focus to commercializing and scaling the production of its third-generation vehicle at a new facility in Southern Nevada as it hopes to expand its services across the US.
