Who you are

3-6 years of hands-on experience as backend developer, ideally with TypeScript
Excellent skills in TypeScript
Excellent skills in Nest JS and Mongo DB (storage of game data)
Proficiency in ClickHouse and Postgres (GreenPlum) for analytics
Proficiency in Redis (cluster communication) and WebSocket (interaction with game clients)
Experience with encryption systems and Git
Excellent English to communicate with the international team
Experience in the games industry, blockchain programming (Etherium) or with Google Cloud Services would be a plus

What the job involves

We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Backend Developer who will be responsible for maintaining and developing the game application server, implementing the game logic and developing various project services
You’ll design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js to support our mobile games
You’ll work closely with our blockchain development team to integrate blockchain technology, NFTs, and smart contracts into our games
You’ll implement effective data storage, retrieval, and analytics solutions to optimize game performance and player experiences
You’ll create and maintain APIs to facilitate communication between our games and external services, including blockchain networks and third-party platforms
You’ll implement best practices for data security, authentication, and authorization to protect player data and assets
You’ll continuously optimize backend systems for speed, efficiency, and scalability, ensuring seamless gameplay experiences
You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including game developers, and designers, to ensure seamless integration of backend services
You’ll communicate clearly and efficiently with the rest of the team. Be a team player

Our take

Merging the worlds of decentralised marketplaces and gaming, Gameplay Galaxy is a company leveraging in-store purchases to create a Web 3.0 ecosystem within immersive mobile games. Its first game, Trial Xtreme Freedom, is a Web 3.0 sequel to the founders previous game Trial Xtreme - which achieved 250 million downloads worldwide.

Whilst blockchain and NFT purchases within games can be met with some criticism, Gameplay Galaxy leverages the new technology to enhance gameplay, providing players with the opportunity to be a part of Trial Xtreme Freedom’s evolution. Users can help create new race tracks and obstacles that can be played by other players, aiming to offer an ecosystem that develops with its user base.

The founders have a proven track record in the gaming industry, having previously co-founded Demedya (which was behind Trial Xtreme Freedom’s predecessor). The company’s user-first approach to building mobile games has helped it achieve substantial seed funding, which will accelerate the development of its product.
