Who you are
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the bar association of the state in which you are located
- Minimum 4 years’ PQE with training from a reputable law firm or in-house team and a strong background in commercial law and contract negotiation. Experience in data protection and privacy matters will be considered an asset
- Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and advising on commercial contracts
- A proactive self-starter who can manage their own workload and timetable and efficiently handle competing priorities
- An effective communicator with a good command of English; knowledge of any other language will be considered an asset
- The ability and willingness to be involved and take the lead in different projects
- Ability to adopt a commercial approach and to understand the operations of the business
- Excellent analytical skills and the capability to identify legal risks and provide risk analysis on different and novel areas
- A strong team player and leader with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholder, and to work for the success of the wider business
What the job involves
- As a Senior Legal Counsel at Invicti you will play a pivotal role in providing strategic legal advice, ensuring compliance with regulations, and supporting our company's growth and success!
- Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of legal documents and contracts relating to commercial, branding, marketing and advertising, employment as well as corporate and intra-group matters
- Working with the business to provide relevant and accurate legal advice on a range of commercial areas, as well as marketing, intellectual property, privacy and data protection matters
- Collaborating with other departments within the organization, such as finance, payments, operations and compliance, to ensure legal compliance in all aspects of the company's operations
- Advising stakeholders on the mitigation of legal and regulatory risks in all jurisdictions the company operates from
- Creating and implementing operational policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
- Staying up-to-date with changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization and communicating those changes to the appropriate stakeholders
- Assisting in corporate governance matters, including management meetings, filings and compliance with corporate formalities
- Collaborating with external consultants on jurisdiction-specific matters, including litigation, enforcement and regulatory matters
- Investigating and responding to legal claims and disputes
- Promoting yourself as an ambassador for legal services within the business.
- Working closely with the General Counsel and supporting the general administration of the legal team
