Who you are
- This is a role for someone energized by building from scratch, navigating ambiguity, and applying both recruiting fundamentals and AI-driven workflows to deliver outsized impact
- We’re looking for someone who can own searches end-to-end, keep pipelines full, and deliver a consistently excellent candidate experience, all while juggling multiple open roles across disciplines
- The right person for this role thrives in ambiguity, knows the tech talent market inside-out, and is excited to grind through sourcing and screening to find the very best people
- You believe the best recruiters aren’t just reactive, they anticipate needs and have pipelines ready before a role is even approved
- You think “candidate experience” is more than a talking point, it’s a competitive edge in closing top talent
- You believe AI can make you a 10x recruiter if embedded into the right workflows
- You know the fundamentals matter: strong process, clear communication, and closing skills separate good recruiters from great ones
- 3+ years in a full cycle recruiting role or adjacent roles like talent sourcing
- Experience engaging with the type of talent that receives multiple offers from the most competitive companies in tech
- Instinct to identify high potential candidates beyond what is on their resume
- Experience in a growth stage startup or recruiting agency (both is even better!)
- Creative skills to contribute to employer branding and content creation a plus
- Familiarity with recruiting tools and workflows (e.g., Ashby, Juicebox, Gem,)
What the job involves
- This role is the #2 full time recruiting hire that will work with me to build the team that will define Method’s next stage of growth
- You’ll operate at the intersection of high autonomy and high visibility, joining us while the org is lean enough to work directly with founders and influence org design, culture, and early talent systems
- At just 40 headcount and counting, each hire we make has a significant impact on Method’s trajectory, so our bar for talent is very high
- This role is based out of our NYC office and we have a flexible (but not full-time remote) hybrid policy that typically manifests as 2-4 days/week in office on average where you'll get to collaborate live and go on caffeine and lunch runs covered by the company

Our take
Managing debt payments can be a challenge for fintech developers, who usually have to build these features into their products from scratch. Method aims to make this process much easier, providing an API which allows developers to embed debt and bill payment automation into their own apps.
Though facing a competitive market, the company is rolling out new features such as instant balance transfers and real-time credit card transactions while regularly forging new partnerships to stay ahead of the competition. So far, it has grown a customer base of 60 customers and ~5 million end-users.
The company has raised a significant amount of capital, most recently in a 2025 Series B led by Emergence Capital. This will be used to accelerate product development and onboard new talent. As the fintech sector continues to surge, Method's product will be a valuable tool in allowing new startups to compete with traditional institutions.
